I think Weddle wants to coach his kids and be a dad but who knows. He certainly has a great knowledge base and infectious leadership qualities.

tired of hearing our assistants getting poached, but that also makes becoming part of our organization that more attractive for top talent so it’s a double edged sword I guess.

Good for him. As discussed in the carousel thread many thought this would happen. He’s a good coach and like best friends with Hackett.

Aqib Talib chimed in about him too.

Wonder if we would have been better off with him as a defensive coordinator instead of Raheem Morris. Not complaining about where we are currently at with Morris, just openly and honestly wondering. Oh well, good look and I hope we can replace him with a quality secondary coach.

The question is can McVay continue to bring in great young minds as assistant coaches? He's done a great job so far after getting poached for 4 straight years now. But eventually the well has to run dry right? It's incredible how much coaching turnover there's been, yet we're still about to play in our 2nd Super Bowl in the last four years.

I don't believe that well has to run dry, although there is bound to be a few disappointments along the way. McVay is an extremely bright guy and knows what he wants, both in terms of professionalism/personal character and the smartest, most savvy football minds who he and his players can communicate well with, ... whether he plucks future help from the NFL or college ranks, he won't be going in blind.
