Edge Rusher???

Before the game I think it was Howie long said the Rams have about 8-8.5 million in cap at this present moment. Is that accurate? And do you guys think there is someone out there to help us via remaining free agents or maybe even a trade. Doesn't have to be a superstar all we need is a decent edge rusher who if he was even average probably becomes very good on this team. We sorely lack there and need that edge sealed off. We need to have edge guy get the qb to step up apply pressure and feed him to our d-line that's when they shed those blocks and the sacks roll in, not to mention we have yet to face a real mobile qb who could really pose a problem with getting around that edge spy or no spy. Does anyone have any thoughts as to who could be had via a trade or left over free agents, rumors, anything???? Also please no more Ficken at this point I'd be willing to just to roll the dice on aguyo(spelling) or basically anyone else lol.

I don't think there is anything left on the free agent market, Junior Galette was already in for a try-out and not signed....
but I do think the trade route could get interesting by the trade deadline. Snead has proven he will do anything and everything in his power to get what this club needs. An experienced edge rusher at the end of a contract could maybe had for a draft pick(s)???

Any ideas? I know back in late August and the start of the season supposedly Dante fowler was on the trade block but that has quieted down. I think the bills colts and maybe Denver could be a good match. I would love to get my hands on Trent Murphy I can't think he would cost a lot nor do I think he a part of a bills rebuild even though he is only 27/28 years old but he would be great here I think.

We don’t have to get anyone spectacular but yeah an upgrade would be nice. Kinda like what van noy did for the pats a few years back. And it only took like a 6th to acquire him. To be honest I haven’t done any research on other teams but Trent Murphy does fit as someone on a team that might be looking for extra draft capital and maybe going through a rebuild.

OO45 should be back in two weeks, and I haven't lost faith in Ebukam and JFM yet. Granted, we'll probably need to draft LB (both inside and outside) in the draft, but right now, I've got my faith in the current group. When OO45 comes back, our defense will be so much better.

He's on the PUP, not IR. As far as I know, they can activate him without having to use a slot for temporary IR.

now that I think about it I believe he missed all of training camp right? would be tough to catch up but maybe they can use him just as a designated pass rusher. I guess we will find out soon

I'm with you guys on Obo but after they spent 280 million dollars this off season I just would want someone like Trent Murphy or same train of thought as @Hawaii Ram said. He isn't to pricey he isn't old and is a perfect piece it's not just about the rush it's also about tackling and just being able to hold that edge and right now it seems both edges are not so great lol. Having a good/decent edge rusher will amplify him with our line and may make the other edge better outright. And it still means we haven't given up on ebukam or Obo or anyone it's both sides that aren't good right now. I'm ok with Middle backers we have even the depth once Barron comes back especially. I was trying to pick you guys brains to see who you think could be had and for what cost.

If the rams think Obo comes back in 2 weeks, and given the coinciding schedule, I doubt they bring in anyone.

But how awesome is it that the rams can do whatever it takes to get their top LB in the next draft. Its the weakest position in a stacked roster and adding the next Lawrence Taylor or Mack at a rookie salary would almost be unfair. Of course, I'm hoping it would be unfair.

How would Anthony Barr look as a 3/4 OLB? I believe he is a FA after this season. Maybe he would want to come home and not have to worry about playing any coverage as a rush OLB?
