He was so good because he had an ego. That ego hasn't gone anywhere. Oh, and yeah, he's also got a book to sell, and all publicity is good publicity, right?

If you like Eric, these are the warts you have to accept.

I would think the Rams brass would be able to invite him into one of their luxury sweets. On the other hand, I'm sure Eric has the money to plunk down a few grand for seats if he really wanted them. I'm sure he's more capable that most of us long-time fans.

I dunno. It might not have been the best move to offer ED "crappy" seats. He's a Rams legend and a very public face of the franchise.

Of course I don't know the situation. How many tickets are we talking? Are the seats actually in the terrace level suites?

Dunno. I primarily think this is just another distraction and we know how much talking heads want distractions. Especially if they can use them to tear down the Rams.

I like Eric. I saw him mention this in an interview about the Rams SB. They asked him where he would be watching the game and he said at home. They asked about that and he expanded on the fact that his tickets were in the nose bleed seats and that he gave them to his sister because he would rather watch from home than sit in those seats. When they started questions about that, he quickly said, this is not about me, it is about the Rams in the SB. He stopped the questioning regarding the tickets right away. I think he regretted it coming up.
The thing about ED is, he just says the truth as he sees it. They asked, he answered. they asked why, he answered. It is how he his. He didn't go out of his way to bring it up as a slight by the team. Only that the seats were not worth the hassle of going to the game. Then he changed the subject.

He mentioned they were in section 400. Don't know what that means.

Id put forth some here may not remember or are just unaware of the malcontent ED became before the trade to Indy

That being said, he was imo the very best pure RB the Rams ever had

I'll wait to hear if Torry, or Ike, or maybe even Marshall complain about their shabby treatment from the
team ........

I can't stand EDs personality. He's all ego. I think the Rams brass know this which is why hes always on the outside looking in.

I need a little more context about normal seating arrangements for former players. I guess he still has the Vice-President of Business Development title. Maybe he has a point. The word is he is cheap or let's say thrifty to be PC. It's hard to believe that he doesn't have connections to get himself invited to a luxury suite or closer to the field. It's not a good look for the Rams or ED.

he was unhappy with his pay. Rightfully so. He is what put butts in the seats. Do not forget the cheapness the Organization. Georgia was a terrible owner and Shaw was an assassin, when it came to negotiations. He wasn't given the nickname "Bring them to their Kneese Shaw" for no reason. At the time he deserved twice what he was getting paid at least. John Robinson stupidly backed the ownership instead of keeping quiet and that is when ED stated his famous quote. The coach can run 47 Gap.
No doubt ED was a deva, but it isn't like the team treated him like our Rams now would.

Can’t argue with that, Georgia was terrible (beyond terrible)

lol, 47 gap, so true but I think it was the”if I saw Jolly John (Robinson) drowning in a pool, I wouldn’t throw him a line” that sealed the deal

The interview wasn't nearly as bad as the headline, the interviewers were more upset than him. He didnt seem to upset really. Much ado about nothing.

As great a runner as ED was, he's always been a selfish guy. I remember when he was with the Rams the "get paid" issues the Rams had with him, even though he ran be hind a GREAT OLine. Those guys cleared the way for him. Dennis Harrah, Irv Pankey, Tom Newberry, Doug Smith, and Jackie Slater. ED didn't do it alone...THAT WAS A GREAT OLINE FOLKS!!!

They call this guy "The Rambassador"??? NOT!!!

In fairness, the Colts made him the highest paid RB in league history, and he couldn't stay happy with that either.

My seats are in the 400s. This section is second from top level.

All ED had to do was sell his granted tix, buy some sweet ones and write them off as business expense (supporting his new book),.

I love him, tied for favorite RB with Faulk, but he needs to shut his pie hole.

Why not just invite him to one of the skybox suites that the rams have. I'm sure they will have room for 5 former ram greats who are in the hall of fame
