I wonder how much the cincy game skewed those stats? That was the worst game McVay has ever called in his coaching history, I dont expect him to do that again just 2 wks removed.Stats on the above, btw, courtesy of https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/team-stats/
Well, defending PUKA , KUPP, ATWELL and HIGBEE ought to be no problem for the Eagles then......In the ESPN weekly rankings they list each team's "Biggest issue on defense"
The Eagles issue plays right to the Rams offensive strength
Philadelphia Eagles (4-0)
Week 4 ranking: 3
Defensive efficiency: 64.5 (12th)
Biggest issue on defense: Pass defense
The Eagles are 27th in passing yards allowed (260.8 per game) and have yielded the third-most passing touchdowns with nine, trailing only the Broncos (13) and Bears (10). Their top two slot corners, Avonte Maddox (torn left pectoral muscle) and Zech McPhearson (torn right Achilles tendon), are expected to miss the remainder of the season, and they are thin at the safety spot as well. -- Tim McManus

That's when the early games start on the East Coast.
More than anything they have got to stop the eagles run game. If they can't do that they are done and nothing else will matter.Philly has played @New England (1-3), Minnesota (1-3), @Tampa Bay (3-1), Washington (2-2)

Cooking the numbers...
Philly has a big time offense that threatens in both phases. Their weakness is their pass protection but it is more than made up for by their run game and balance. Vs the Rams defense this will be like the Shitters, in that if you don't stop the run you are up shit creek, and in Philly's case they have a better QB who can hurt you more off play action.
Rams offense will be tough for Philly to get off the field. Expect McVay to concede the run relatively early, hopefully he can run occasionally to keep them honest but this one will be a lot of relying on Stafford's arm. Philly will need to blitz to get to him. So Stafford needs to be sharp on his blitz pickups, vice how he looked vs Cincy.
I think this game hangs on how well the Rams defense gets off the field. Because if they do that the Rams offense will get a lot of chances to ball control them, which is a big part of why they are 2-2 despite a very tough schedule. Rams offense will need to keep the pressure on in sustaining drives, and hopefully build a lead and maintain it with those long possessions to reduce the importance of ground game where Philly has us.
Winnable game but it has no room for error for the Rams.
