New Orleans is in bad shape with the cap though. I think they're a great choice last season at this time but this year with Payton gone... I don't know whether Allen's gonna be up to snuff as HC.

Carolina at least has a coach with an offensive propensity. Lot of questions with him too though. So idk.

Never understood the massive love for Watson. I never saw him as a top 5 QB. Maybe I'm wrong. Best of luck
Prior to our Stafford trade I would have been all over Watson. Not now though. We good. :laugh1:

Wouldn't be surprised if Michael Thomas goes back in return? Clears up some cap space and it's a major piece to move. Just speculation of course but they've also cleared some of their cap issues, still a bit over but not what they were to start.

I suspect Allen is their "sin eater" head coach to get them through some cap clearance. Funny thing is they do have an excellent roster on defense so if he's good running the show and they get a QB they might make some noise. Gonna be interesting.

Allen didn't do too well with Oakland.....but then, who did? D is good. IIRC, they kept the OC. He's not Payton but he knows the system. Been there since 2009. Give him a good QB and who knows?

This is a click-bate article, it’s more or less pointing out that Carolina has room currently for a Watson trade (don’t need to free anything up)….

But what caught my eye is they are also on the hook for Sam Darnold and about $18.9 million because of his fifth-year option.

:wow2:

If they move Thomas, they get hit with 37 mill in dead cap and only "save" his 1 mill base. I cant see how the Saints with all their cap issues could possibly make the deal. But it would be great to see. Payton walks away and they end up with Watson? That would just be hysterical

Sounds good didn't look at his deal just knew he was expensive. Point stands though a high cap hit type player might go to help their cap.

Correct. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty. And if you are not even indicted, you have nothing even to defend much less to prove.
Sometimes even when proven guilty your still considered innocent.

I don’t know that anyone would be interested in Thomas after the way he neglected to rehab his injury.

Atlanta Falcons are now in the mix and that's where I believe Watson will end up. Atlanta is the biggest city in the South and Watson is from there. Falcons can include Matt Ryan which is a quality veteran that Davis Mills can learn from plus for Watson he goes to a great owner in Arthur Blank with a TE that might be the best very soon. Watson has a no trade clause so I see him as a Falcon IMHO.

Wow! Who saw that coming?

:wow2:

Yeah... 5 years, $230M FULLY GUARANTEED!!!

HOLY COW

Also, FU Browns!!! I really hope Stafford isn't gonna chase that massive contract... 'cuz with all the talent fleeing to the AFC, we're already a top choice to come out of the NFC, but if we can bring in one more piece... especially an edge or CB... we're gonna be hellaciously difficult to stop.
