I feel bad for Reeder tonight with this news. All eyes on him now lol
I’m all for Reeder making the 53. He will get every chance to start. The disappointment will come if he starts any game. As we all know what we have with Reeder and it’s not starting caliber NFL linebacker play.

sounds like a slip in ability after the injury may have pushed the needle to the red...

i'll eat crow with defending DK...

id do it again for a player i thought had shortcomings but was a physical footbal player...

he had to be doing something right to start that many games,,, his physical limitations along with bad moves at the wrong time didn't bench him, as much as some would have wished....

the rams made the right decision,,, im sure of that...

go rams

slo
More than anything, he benefited from a lack of DB talent at the time. Sort of like Reeder in that regard. Oh and he was really cheap. All of a sudden he didn't feel like a bargin.

A.J. Green has been showing well too lately and he is a big CB 6'2 and faster then Kendrick, although at the combine Green ran a 4.62 at the combine, but ran a 4.43 at his pro day. Kendrick ran a 4.75 so with Forbes and others the money saved for the Kendrick release made sense.

I was more concerned about his inability to cover WRs than beds. :zany1:
Nah. He covered receivers great before and after the yellow hankies came out. He covered their wrists, their arms, their jerseys…. Hell, he even covered them after the play was over.

I had to look that one up. I couldn’t remember Green. Green is faster than Kendrick and 2” taller.

I've gotten to the point where I think pro days are suspect as fuck.
Players are just more comfortable in their own surroundings. Think about when you workout at your own gym or at home versus another venue.

I'm past underwear olympics like the combine and pro days except for QBs throwing somewhat.

Put on the tape and see if they can play.

Hate to say it,but Kendrick was little bit of a head case.Who knows after his surgery if he was the same player speed wise? IMO he didn’t fit in with the CB group,at least from a far.

The Rams seem to cut there losses on the 4th(contract) year with there drafted players if they don’t see a future.

Green has NFL experience with the Browns,SO yes he might be the better player.Jolly looks like he has beefed up as well. There is 9 CB’s now.SO the Rams still need to make some tough cuts.

Except we only wasted a sixth rounder on Kendrick and on Tye Hill we wasted a first rounder.
There’s a time when you need to cut bait.He wasn’t the best draft pick, but the rams have gotten better with there evaluations.

I bought into him.He wasn’t the most liked player, now we see the rams see more potential elsewhere on there roster.

He wasn’t better than Tomlinson who is a niner.I think you are going to really enjoy watching Forbes play. His body control & sticky coverage is for real.Kendrick has none of those skill sets.

He cost the rams a few games, then again T. White was horrible. The SAD thing is last season Ahkello was better than both of them.To think what he has meant to the CB room ??

So does Atlanta pick him up? It seemed to me that Raheem liked him enough to keep him on the roster prior to his injury.

Well, Georgia was good for him. He won a National Championship with them, as well as with Clemson.

I have a feeling those will be the highlights of his career.

And for ROD posters, one whipping boy down and one to go. :)

Good riddance. He was a walking penalty flag. Completely undisciplined in every facet of the game, zero football intelligence - undisciplined with his hands being overly grabby even in situations where there was no need, undisciplined mentally at keeping his assignments, undisciplined emotionally always taking bone-headed unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. He was below average at actually playing the position too (I wouldn't say bad), and yet another Rams CB that lacks true size, so there is no reason to keep him, even as depth. Not sure there is anything I would say he excelled at.

Would be a good option just to fill a pure dept role on the cheap, if he could ever get his head on straight, as that would eliminate multiple of his biggest weaknesses in one sweep. Which is a successful career for a 6th round draft pick. But I can't ever see it happening. He is what he is at this point.

Having truth in the basic metrics is crucial for teams. There will be players who play fast or play slow, but knowing the truth is something teams should protect. If teams allow that to decay there will be more risk involved in the use of their draft capital.
