I'd wait. Baun played 3-4 OLB for Wisconsin, but he's a 3-4 ILB for us. Think he'll be a stud there, but there's enough talent at that position that we can afford to be patient.
I'm just trying to figure out if Dieter the Brock is the same as Deiter Brock??? Plus, one (or both) of them just changed their avatar, so I'm very confused!!!
I think that was Fisher’s call.
Couple years later, a post-draft-day story came out about a similar decision where Fisher made the call NOT to trade-down for an extra pick, and risk losing a player he really coveted.
So Fisher took his guy that time. Maurice Alexander.

I should have tagged you in my post. It's all in good clean fun.@dieterbrock @OldSchool , I know I can't change your minds...but I love cats. Have had cats in my household since I was born.
Again, not trying to change your minds...just clarifying the "ouch"s.

den-the-coach,They also liked Mychal Kendricks in the same draft, both linebackers were there and the Rams traded down and when it was their turn to pick, both were gone and we ended up with Isiah Pead.
Don't think so, Fisher was really steamed at Snead over losing Wagner.
Are you keeping him inside for all three downs?
If not how much would you put him on the edge?
The reason I ask is that he is small for an Edge Lber and some here may think he is the answer to the edge pass rusher.
How good is he in pass coverage?
Here is one report that stated he had trouble at the Senior Bowl in pass coverage.
I remember you bringing him up maybe it was a mock draft. He seemed like a great fit the Rams/Staley's defense. I do wonder a little about him holding up in the middle as he is a little undersized. It would take a little time for him to get acclimated to the move inside. I appreciate your thoughts.
Don't worry jrry, I gotta a plan.... ~ LesI've seen him drop into coverage. They had him do it quite a bit in 2018. He can cover. I'm not a big Tony Pauline guy and have seen other reports dispute his on the Senior Bowl. How often would he play the edge? Occasionally in subpackages. I'd draft him to be a three-down ILB.
He can hold up. He's 6'2" 240ish. And he was more than able to hold his own against Big 10 OTs in college. He'll not only hold up inside, he's a guy capable of stacking and shedding blocks.

den-the-coach,
turned out to be one Rokevious Watkins. A true piece of junk and a loser to boot. I guess I should be over this by now but ya'll can probably tell I'm not.

I'm still not over us dumping Ron Jaworski....Seems like we never get over that stuff.
I laugh every time I see your avatar....one of the best ever!!!!When am I not positive?
(Other than in conversations about cats of course)
I think a great OLB is worth trading up for and Baun is a great prospect. Great rushing the passer, really good in coverage only gave up 112 yards in 2 years for 195 plays and good against the run.
At Univ. of Wisconsin he played mostly on the DL but also was an OLB.
He is better than Uche.
2019 - ran a 4.65 benched 24 reps. 13 sacks, 52 pressures, 16.5 pressure rate that was 6th in FBS.
I wasn't for trading up but Baun, Mater Gross, Epensa are still available all most of the time in the first round. I love Epensa but he feels more of a 4-3 DE.
There are no ILBs and I don't think any RBs are worth moving up for.
I think we offer #57 and #84 for it will be worth it.
