could the end of Sunday Ticket be near?

I just stream the games now and it is only a 5 to 10 second delay

About 1 or 2 plays a game I miss because of an interrupted flow but otherwise the streaming reception is perfect and is HD.

The games aren’t live. You get them 45 minutes after the game. Just stay off tv and social media and it’s like live. I don’t mind the wait. I’ve got plenty to accomplish around the house

And that becomes an immediate no from me. I have too many people texting me, plus during Seahawk/Rams games I hear all the other people reacting around me.

Sucks. I'll just keep doing what I've been doing so far, worked last year.

For those who need it live you can use a vpn to watch the nfl game pass live by getting the international version. Which a lot of people do if not out right streaming them illegally. I want the restrictive nature over watching nfl games to go away. There is no reason for the nfl not to offer their product in an easier way without unrelated paywalls.

Yeah, internet prices will continue to go up as cable and satellite go away. What I love about streaming services is the freedom to do what you want. Netflix, and like sources, can be canceled at any time with a click of a button. I love the freedom of being able to have what I want to watch from month to month and if I want to stop something I just log in and stop it. It’s more about convenience and time saved not talking to an idiot on the phone from a different country every time there’s a problem or god forbid I want to change/cancel service. Avoiding the ridiculous cost is just a bonus to me.

If Sunday ticket and redzone came to YouTube tv I would switch to that in a heartbeat. Also give the option to get Sunday ticket for only Rams game. I'm happy with redzone for the rest of the games.

I can't speak for the DirectTV Sunday ticket the last 4 years, because I now get all the games at the stadium or LA area TV. When the Rams were in the Lou though I would have died without the Sunday ticket. I was happy there was an option available, even if it wasn't cheap. Now it seems there are more possible, streaming, opportunities. The thought of no option though really sucks in this techno age.

I had Direct tv and Sunday Ticket for 15 years. So yeah, yours truly got to enjoy the golden era of Demise of Martz-Joe Vitt/Linehan/Spagnolo/Fisher in living color. Lucky me....
I never thought the price of the ticket was unfair, it was a great product. Heck, I even used to buy the NCAA March madness package before it became available on "free" tv.
Having the ticket, and putting aside $250-300 for the season was no big deal.
Until 6-7 years ago when we needed full time wifi in the house as smart phones, ipads and "work from home" became a staple of life, and the extra $100 a month. And the price of Direct TV kept going up, while the kids watched less and less TV.
So I took the advice from my Rams fan family and made the threat call to DTV.
And it worked...
One year it was $50 a month off the bill for a year
One year it was free Sunday ticket and $30 off the bill for the year
Etc, etc
So it didnt seem the price of the ticket was going up, but I was getting it free so who cared. In addition, they were knocking 20, 30 or $40 off my bill each month.
Until it stopped...
Bad enough I had to pay full price for the ticket, but without the monthly discounts, I couldnt believe I was paying almost $200 per month, and didnt even get HBO.
So after 15 years, I had to pull the plug. Cut my bill in more than half, got better wifi and free Netflix/SHowtime for a year.
But no Rams....
Would love an option to see them, and $200-300 a year seems like a bargain

No fiber yet in our area, so it’s DirectV or Comcast for cable broadband and TV with no Ticket.

I have lifetime Sirius XM, so I could listen to all the games....

I’m in the Cowboys market, so local Rams broadcasts are rare.

LOl I hear you! I stopped during the Linehan, Spags years, I got to where I thought, I'm paying over $100/win to watch them for a whole season, I was strapped for cash and that thought was so depressing I cancelled the NFL Package and dropped Direct TV. I would like to have a Rams only option to pay and I would be on it in a heartbeat.

See I don't get that because if the Rams lose, I'm not watching. Nothing like live TV IMHO, that's why they have it.

I used to record the games and watch them later. I'd ff through commercials, see every play, be able to do things with the kids like my son's football games, or work around the house all day, and then sit and watch a commercial free game in an hour.

so the transition is easy for me. A 1:00 game takes 3 hours in the heart of the day. That renders most of a Sunday as non productive.

As an out-of-market fan who basically watches my local games + the Rams, I'd be fine with this. They could charge $10-15 dollars for my game and I'd pay it. Most years I get 3-4 Sunday Rams games through the networks, a few more on primetime TV, leaving me around $100 - $150 out of pocket.

They should make 4 streaming options offered via the internet as well as via cable packages. Also, all streaming would need to work on both phones and tablets. Some streaming doesn't work on phones which would be a mistake.

1) Redzone streaming (I dunno if it's available on streaming now, but yeah, sub for the season)
2) PPV games. $15/game
3) Team packages including games and team content $100/year. Yeah, it's less than $7/game, but it's $100 you weren't getting from most of those fans who were streaming
4) Full NFL package with exclusive content and other perks

Something like would explode the NFL's exposure and help get young people to watch more (The NFL want's to avoid MLB's huge demographic problem). Plus, they'd capture tons of revenue lost due to illegal streaming.

Great point, but working 60 hours a week, plus home projects, IMO, I've earned those three hours. Also I have several friends that have been coming over for years, so that's always a good time and a great time when the Rams win.

Having PPV will also drive up the price on MNF and TNF because there will be less opportunity for national games.

While not ideal. watching the late games on NFL red zone (when Rams mostly play) plus streaming NFL .com for live updates is a decent way to track at home.

living in PA, Rams games are a family affair. I only know a few Rams fans around my area and they are more acquaintances. I get that 60 hour seems suc k and everyone's situation is different. We bought a house that was a bit dated and we always have a project to work on.

That is so awesome, always wanted to do that, but the only talent I have in that area is Painting. In fact, when we were looking for a latest house several years ago, I suggested to my wife we purchase and older house and fix it up, in an area we really liked and my wife's response was..."That sounds great Den, who's going to do the work?" And I quickly replied: "Let's look at new construction then."

BTW, another problem solved for Yankees fan streamers, Foxsports app has been showing the games that are on the YES network and now Amazon Prime is going to stream the WPIX games which previously couldn’t be seen via mobile.

thanks for the tip on the Yankees. YouTube live TV just lost Yes and Fox. So, I'm ready to drop them. I'm going to shop around to see which other services carry Yes and Fox

My Dad built into an older house that he bought in 1960. I was born 7 years later and I remember there already being a proud t to work on. Once I was old enough my brothers and I started to help him on weekends. So I learned a bunch from Dad. Then my younger brother went to tech school for carpentary. I learned much more from him. We use to work a second job together doing remodeling. I landscaped full time. So I can do it all. Masonry, tile, plumbing, electrical, concrete, spackling, and painting, window installation, hanging doors, etc... I'm not as fast at it as I once was, and there are some things I like doing more than others. But it does feel good to save the money and do the work myself.
