After 5 years as the best division in football, the NFC West does not look good in 2022.

Trey Lance is who we expected him to be in week 1.
The Cardinals look like the Rams playoff opponent.
Seahawks roster is poor.

This may be great for Rams.
could give the Rams the chance to get things right, something needed.

Still see Rams with 10+ wins, but right now others do not seem like winning football teams.

Week 1, its a long season.

49ers had a rough game in messy conditions. Cards played what is still a VERY good KC team. Not ready for any complete season hot takes based off 1 week.

It’s only week one. Go look at the week one results a year ago.

I feel like the canvas generally doesn’t begin to tell a story until the midway point. All the shit teams are clearly shit, the elite teams are on track and the rest either make a run or collapse.

9ers issues go beyond QB. Their interior Oline looked worse than the Rams who were putrid. Not easily fixed.
i don’t think many worried about Cards. First game looked like Chiefs learned from Rams playoff win. I see good teams stopping Cards offence. cards D is nothing special.

I’m not looking for hot takes. I’m trying to feel better after Thursday’s trashing

But it is promising. Trey Lance has never shown anything in the NFL, even after a red shirt season.

what will 9ers and Cardinals records be?After watching both play, i am not sure either wins 10 games.
It's the first week of the season. Lets not panic about our results or gloat about other teams results. And right now very few teams are to be feared.

I’m not panicking or gloating. I’m watching games and observing.

I watched 2 football games and added what I had as information going in, and seriously question if the Cards or 9ers can win 10 games.

Clearly you disagree, however I don’t know why. Do you see 9ers Oline issues as easily fixed?
Do you see Cards as rhe team that started 10-2 or the team we’ve seen since then?

It's the first week is my point. The answer to this question won't be formed in week one. Last year week 1 Buffalo didn't look good. Niners and Cards beat two playoff teams. The Chiefs won in the final minute of the game against the Browns. Green Bay had their asses handed to them in a grand ceremony 38-3.

It's week one. It doesn't mean shit. Enjoy the season and in 5 or 6 weeks we'll have a better idea what's going on.

Everyone is overreacting week 1. If you say the cards and 9ers suck based on week 1 then you have to also say the rams suck.

Understood, it’s too early for you to have an opinion, and once you’ve seen more games played (5-6) you will have input in the discussion.
I have no problem with that approach. Doesn’t mean that others can start analyzing and discussing earlier.

Analyze all you want form all your opinions you want. History has told us those things we think in week one change in the next couple of weeks. I'm not trying to be an ass, it just comes natural I guess, but we've seen this too often to really worry about the first couple of weeks of the season.

My point is all 3 have a number f question marks.

My worry with Rams is the Oline. Edwards looked bad ( we’re his deficiencies covered by big Whit). Allen and Noteboom are hurt, depth is a huge worry. That said, I think the Rams are a SB contender.

I went into 9ers game wondering how the interior Oline would play and if Trey would surprise me. The interior Oline was horrible, I don’t see a quick fix (as I see with Rams) and Trey looked like a QB that has only played 20 games in the last 4 years and has much to learn. 9ers D may be the best in league. Shanny also seems to be using Trey like his dad used RGIiI. Trey will get hurt if he keeps be used like that.

I was surprised the Cards started so well last year. I just don’t see them as a really strong team. That’s the team I saw today. I did not see them making the playoffs this year, today reinforced that opinion.

Always thought you were a friendly poster. What gives?

Maybe best to put this on ice for another 5 weeks

I think it is a fair question to ask after what we saw this week. Early? Definitely, but they're all gonna (hopefully) be 0-1 soon with all divisional games still on the horizon. None of the teams are as bad as they played this week, but it is fair to question how good they really are.

Hoping for 12 + wins, but after seeing that beat down on Thursday? If the Rams finish 9-8 and win the division, color me ecstatic.

I’m not against too early, wild speculation, and agree after watching both games it looks like the Cards might not pull off 10 even accounting for the strength of the Chiefs.

However, I disagree with your take on the 9ers. The weather played a role, they had tons of penalties that killed them and might be fixed by running laps, and they had a few other bad breaks go against them.

I saw a really good defense that will keep them in all their games. I saw an offense AND defense that matches up well with the Rams In my opinion they will win at least 13 and probably beat us twice, handily.

Totally hope I’m wrong.
