We need to sign this guy immediately...GET IT DONE SNEAD. He's a good player and would be a huge upgrade to the line.

Regarding Big Rob, he has been an above average RT in the league for a few years, and for some reason has completely fell off the cliff this year. But he's only 27 years old and really I hope he turns it around. I'm not a fan of Blythe AT ALL, and he's our best interior linemen which is sad. Would love to see a mix of Edwards, Corbett, on the interior. Maybe that helps out B Allen a bit? But if we sign Glenn he will be our most talented linemen. If we can pull this off and Corbett can develop we might not be in terrible shape even after this year when Whit retires.

Concussions are no joke.

Also not sure if he's a fit. I honestly don't know.

IF there's a deal to be done out there, be it Trent Williams, Brandon Scherff, Cordy Glenn or someone else, I trust Les Snead to get it done.

If there's a deal out there, Les will find it...and Les will kill it.

I must be the only one to remember how bad he was when McVay and Kromer tried him at RG.

Nope! I have tried hard to forget that nightmare. He is what he is, a RT who struggles with speed rushers. Most RT's do otherwise they would be LT's. His struggles are part of a collective group failing in terms of coming together as an oline. If we get stability in the middle, watch Have return to being a solid RT. JMHO

We have all kinds of 1st round picks to use for a trade still.

2022, 2023, 2024 and on and on.

We are just getting started.

I thought most of the problem with him at RG was that they had Jamon Brown at RT. Brown was not a RT, so they moved them back. Could be faulty memory. I thought somebody said Hav didn't look bad but Brown was failing hard so it wouldn't work. Could be that they both looked bad. IDK.

Either way, it's possible that Brown's awful play affected Hav when they switched, so even if he would have been decent he looked worse than he was.

I recall that as well.

Yes that's true. I didn't consider the impact that Brown may have had at RT. As I said above, the Oline needs to work as one. If one player misses an assignment, it affects the entire line

I posted this on another site. Today he requested to be released. Currently he plays LT for Cincy and can play Guard. I suggest we put him at LG and swing to T if needed.

He is 345 and 30 years old. He is mad because he self reported he got a concussion in preseason and he feels he has not been treated fair in Cincy over his medical.

He won't cost us much and we can see if he is a LG answer which I believe he is. Worst case we road test him for the season and don't have to worry week to week.

Ironically just yesterday I posted that Cordy Glenn would be a good trade target for the Rams. Weird if that cam about.

Just curious, having a 6-8" OG might not be great for a 6-4 QB to see over at times? Obviously for a 6 foot QB it would be a problem, but even Goff might not want to see a 6-8" guy standing up there in the middle of the line.

It's probably not ideal, but if having Glenn at guard fixes the pass blocking issues, I don't they'd really care that much.

I have to think Glenn would be a beast at OG. He'd help us. But he's 30, the concussion concerns me with all the BS involved in it, and we probably don't have the draft capital (they might consider a 2nd and change but would we?)

Guy like him Les would probably need to move a player. A good player. Like Brandin Cooks for example.

he makes 9.25 mill per year, He is 30. he is not really suited as an LT. He is more a guard. A 3rd rounder should be acceptable.

I was thinking more about the idea of Havenstein sliding to OG... He is 6-8"... I think Glenn is 6-6"

Just tell to him to stay low. Like a wrestler.
