I can't hate a passionate Rams fan and great human for living his dream.
He’s a piece of shit that throws whatever against the wall see what sticks and talks about it, if that’s what you want to call reporting so be it.

He also directs his mob of morons towards anyone he deems as a challenge to his authority and takes.

What a complete ass hat of a person who tries to win any dissension of opinion as direct attack on his sports reporting. Fuck him, and I’ll say it every time his Booger eating name comes up.

How do you really feel??? Don't hold back.

BTW, I agree. The guy is an embarrassment. He kept arguing with Detroit fans on Twitter after our playoff loss last year. Cried like a bitch for weeks about the game.

Yeah. Well we have had shitty decision making wrt our OL for years under McVay. Head shaking stuff, them prioritizing dudes based on how much the staff likes to joke with them in the OL room or something moreso than how well they play on the field. It's fucking infuriating. That's what it is.

Not that I'm infuriated by Shelton's return. But that is because I think Limmer will be the starter. I just think it is time McVay quit moonlighting with Munchak and make the dude a Ram OL lead. I want all that expertise and experience in-house so we can start being smart with this shit. Also I want a fast start to the season, and with McVay resting everyone in preseason he could really use that expertise on his staff.
You mentioned Munchak. Maybe he is the one who said they should sign Shelton.

If they had hired Munchak he prolly would have advised against signing Shelton.

In any case, they could have done better. Can't understand why McSnead settle for less at so many positions. I know cap space is a consideration, but 10 miles for TuTu, and 6 mil for Shelton?

Disagree brother. Limited in what he can provide but he brings an element that NO ONE else on the Rams current roster brings. That may change in the draft or in the 2025 season but that speed and ability to get open in the middle of the field is currently unique and needed.

For $10 million he better provide a lot more than he ever has. And I could see about 10 WR's who will provide what he can physically and be bigger and as fast. So yeah I cannot disagree more with anybody who justifies Atwells contract or him being brought back. It's almost as bad as Shelton.

I trust McVay. I’m sorry you don’t after what we’ve seen from him since 2017. Arguably the best 8 years of Rams football since Ive been a fan in 1972. Bit I respect your opinion.

McVay absolutely deserves credit and yes he's one of if not the best coaches we've ever had. But has he ever made mistakes? Is he above criticism? Come on man you're better than to think something like that it's childish to think he can't be criticized or think that he's perfect.

So tell me this why if he decided he should and could use Atwell more and differently didn't he do it last year?

And don't try that think I trust or believe in McVay but everyone everywhere is fallible.

Why not? We're pretending Limmer wasn't let down by his teammate as well on one play. Shelton is a flawed player that's smaller and older and more expensive than Limmer. And there's a ton of tape out there of him being bad. Limmer is far from perfect but there's an upside to him in his 2nd year that Shelton simply doesn't have.
I wasn't really putting a dog in this fight but since you responded to my post I'll bite.

I think this argument is six of one and half dozen of another. If Shelton is the center and Limmer is IOL depth continuing to learn behind the veteran then fine. If Limmer is the center and Shelton is the versatile veteran IOL depth that's awesome.

The important thing is injuries are inevitable and we need as many OL we can trust as possible. Shelton costs a fraction of Jonah Jackson and this coaching staff trusts him and wanted him back.

Is it the move any of us were pining for? Not really. Does it make sense in the grand scheme of things? I think so.

A few thoughts about that.

This staff also trusted and wanted Jackson less than a year ago. Can they make mistakes and be making one again with Shelton? Afterall Jackson signed an almost identical contract (in fact an aav of $500k more a year) with the team that just felt they had to upgrade from Shelton.

Injuries are in fact always a concern at every position. If we were worried about getting rid of all guys who've had injuries I think Dotson would be the only OL back from last year along with maybe Zimmer don't recall him being hurt early in the year just not starting.

My whole issue with the signing is our goal is to make the team better with each addition. Having watched Shelton with the Rams and watching replays of the Bears last year I have no idea how this signing makes us better.

As I've said times beyond counting I have been wrong in the past will be wrong this week and again in the future. As have our coaches and GM. Nobody is above criticism that includes me, you and the Rams brain trust.

Never said McVay isn’t above criticism. Every NFL coach is rightly scrutinized and criticized including McVay. My opinion is that Atwell was never used consistently as a weapon but I trust McVays plan is to do that in 2025 to the level that justifies his $10m payout. What I can’t state is if it’s as a decoy, more targets or someone who sneaks into opponents hotels the night before a game and pulls fire alarms. My point is I trust McVay has a plan. Again I respect your opinion but I’m sticking to mine.

Take a fuckin walk or some calming pills, it's not that fuckin serious.

Go watch ESPN or some shit and ignore Jake creating Rams content and opinions.

Calling him a piece of shit when he's actually a really nice dude is fucking pathetic.

Hate his content, sure. But calling him the person a piece of shit is fucking pathetic.

Dude really? No need. No need to get pissed off about a squishy faced moron.

Calling someone a really good dude is the opposite of calling someone a pos, which is the same thing, opinion. you are aren’t anything special to be except from that to labeled ‘pathetic’ for your opinion.

If your thing is the two of you going to go pick out shower curtains with each other cool, that’s your business. But others don’t have the “ i want to live the rest of my life “ attitude with Tiny Tim.

Ps no talking religion on ROD as per forum rules. If you want to talk about your Lord and Savior Jake Squishyface please do that somewhere else.

There's also rules against attacking posters. Attack the post, not the poster behind it.

You've been here long enough to know that, and I know that you're a better poster than this, Corbin. I'm not much of a Jake fan either (and haven't been since the whole AD kerfuffle). I'm not going to defend him if you really hate him that much. But don't attack posters who do like his content. It's beneath you, and I know you're a better person than that.

Memento im not attacking a poster, there isn’t anybody that is a member here im attacking. Im calling a person in sports media a pos poser of a sports journalist, if you don’t like that I’m sorry for you.

Are you a moderator? No, stop making something bigger than it is trying to be something you aren’t. I respect others opinions but letting things get how they were here on ROD where certain posters created a sub culture clique like mentality ganging up on one poster that slightly criticized Jake, I’m not cool with that, and after some point I’m going to stand up for posters, @ottoman89 is a grown man. He likes ketchup I like mustard. It’s that’s simple. No hard feelings. Time to move on.

Again no need to make this bigger than what it is.

If @ottoman89 is fine with it, I'll drop it. I'm not acting like a moderator; I do and say these things for the health of the board. The second things come close to attacking posters is the second we lose the "buddies at a bar, shooting the shit" atmosphere that moderators and long-time members have helped cultivate for over fifteen years.

I care about this board and everyone here. You know that. I'm only saying this out of love, not anything against you at all. I'm not trying to make things bigger than they are, but I care when there's potential to spill over, which is why I'm being careful with this.

And again, I couldn't care less about Jake Ellenborgen. I honestly don't even like him. But if posters decide to launch barbs at each other because of him, well...yeah, then it becomes my business, because I literally spend as much time as I can over here.

This board is like a family to me. I see you guys as my older (or younger, given that I'm turning thirty-four in May, I'm no longer the young pup I was when I joined the board at nineteen) brothers, and I'm just averse to arguments, especially from family. If it's less than that, if Otto doesn't see it as a big deal, I apologize for overreacting; I have autism and emotions through computers can be hard for me.

So...yeah, sorry for the giant spiel.

I mean, Jake TECHNICALLY is a poster due an account on here and drops in from time to time. But, it's really not a problem.

I've never had an issue with @Corbin before and I don't now. I just completely disagree with the aggressive use of words towards Jake but they aren't words Jake hasn't been called before, and he can handle it.

I agree with most things Corbin says and disagreed mightily with that one.

I appreciate you @Memento !

I'm over it and moving on.

If I could I'd shake Corbins hand, buy him a beer and share laughs about the SOSAR pain we all endured.
