My best friend is a Dallas fan and let me tell you... Moore is AWFUL
Dallas's offense with Kellen Moore as OC:
2019: 6th in PPG, 1st in YPG
2020: 17th in PPG, 14th in YPG (Dak only played 5 games - they were #1 in both categories through those 5 games)
2021: 1st in PPG, 1st in YPG
2022: 4th in PPG, 11th in YPG (Dak missed 5 games)

For a guy who's awful, those are impressive results. If he lands with the Chargers, he's walking into a great situation.

He took out the stats against against the weak NFC East (2021) and it was a massive dropoff. He (supposedly) cherry picked against the bad teams and shit the bed against good teams usually.

You and I are one of the few who feel Moore is a very good play caller. That would be a good hire for the Chargers and it will also propel Moore IMHO.

You don't lead an offense to #1 in the NFL in both categories based solely on 6 games against your division. A lot of fans hate their team's OC. But the results he has produced don't support the idea that he's bad at his job.

Cowboy fans I know don't like his situational play calling I think is how they described it. The numbers are good but there are situations where he just shits the bed. Their words not mine.

Far be it from them to realize that it may be Dak who shits the bed under those conditions? Dallas gonna Dallas.... They hire the guy who had HOF QB's for 13 years in Green Bay and was synonymous with "underachieving" during that time
Payton should seriously consider waiting one more year as this job will be available by mid 2023 season I guess

As we know from our own coaching fires/not retained shit roles down hill as much or more than not. Can't fire the HC can't fire the QB making all that coin. Fire the OC, honestly I think the real answer here as in most situations is a bit of all the above.

Chargers are a great gig for Moore. They have an enormously talented young QB in place, some excellent talent on that side of the ball too, if he ensures their needs are filled and has that unit ready he's going to be interviewing for top jobs. Only prob is being under a screwball of an owner but he's the coordinator so should be dealing with Staley.

But Staley undoubtedly will let him run his own show. Hell of a nice landing spot for him.

Why would either harblah or pay-a-ton want the bronco job?
You get a soon to be washed out QB costing a zillion $$ and no premium draft collateral for a couple years. That job might be attractive in a couple of years, but unless you are either good to eat all of the cap hit associated with moving on from wilson, and/or trading some of the good players you have to garner picks and recoup $$, there’s really not a lot to work with if you want to come in and make a big difference.

Harbaugh has wanted back in for years.
