Is the butt shove still legal?
Yeah, they won't outlaw that because it would be targeting 1 team and 1 player who utilizes it, not a number of teams. Then Philly fans and the Eagles would be whining to no end. It is the most skill-less play in the game.

Exactly. But it will be interesting to see if they are as effective with it without their ProBowl center and the league having a season of tape on it.

If it were the Rams or the Jaguar’s or the Falcons or the Cardinals etc that had started the Tush Push the league would have fast tracked the ban on it immediately.

But…marquee teams. So it creates a buzz. So leave it.

I don't know...They outlawed Deacon Jones' head-slaps.
One player one team.

They have a couple of seasons of tape on it and still can't stop it. I'm not for intentionally injuring players but the quickest way to eliminate the tush-push is somebody dive over the pile and aim for his head. Ring that bell a time or two and he'll be less inclined to try it. I will emphasize, I don't want to see him injured......just a decent bell ringing.

And hell, they're outlawing a lot of things. They've practically put flags on QBs; no more blindside blocks outside the numbers; the horse collar; drop and drag; etc.. But those are all things that cause injuries. See above ^^^^^^^^^^

Agree on focusing on making the QB pay for the play. I was saying the same thing about the option. It was the one play where the QB is a running back even if he handed the ball off. You could get a free shot and nobody would take advantage. Just hit the QB as hard as you can no mater if he had the ball and that play would be extinct.
