Any team is beatable.
Chiefs just completed the toughest playoff run we’ve ever seen, by many metrics.
Mahomes is ABSOLUTELY a level above. Sorry, it’s not even a conversation.
Mahomes created 400 yards of offense… what are you even watching.

Missed XP didn’t cost them the game. All history would show is that Chiefs would’ve pushed harder for TD.. and got it.

I don’t get trying to take down a team that’s won 3 SBs in last 5 years.

Agreed. But Rams (Stafford) won 10 of 11 two years ago in their playoff run, after losing 3 in a row.
Too lazy/dumb to check the metrics, but it'swhy I like SB 56 almost as much as 34.

That said, when we go to the SB next year, I hope it's not against KC.:sunglasses:

Their's or their coaches?

Because the Chiefs actually coached the guys on the rules.

Unfortunately, if people are trying to zoom in on weaknesses in the 9ers that caused the loss.. I think they're chasing their tail.
They're a fantastic team. The Chiefs just had a great defense, kicker and Mahomes. And Mahomes is just a whole level above any other QB in this league.
The 9ers have the better players, by far imo.
Chiefs won because of better coaching and better QB play.

OK, what were the actual rule changes coach ?
You would think under "new game" it would not have been sudden death when the Chiefs got their TD. Play until time ran out sort of thing.
I am reveling in watching vids of Native Killers By The Bay fans stomping on flat screens right now. This is GREAT !!!
The difference is during the season, they play until time runs out, but both teams get to possess the ball and the game can end in a tie. However, if the Chiefs had kicked a FG for example, then both teams would have possessed the ball and the next score would have won, regardless of when that score took place.

Sorry, they are beatable and in fact stumbled into the playoffs. They lost to THE RAIDERS when they needed the win.
The extra point did in fact cost them the game. They would have tried harder if it was made, OK whatever you say.
You mean like that last 1st and goal from the 3, needing a TD to win it all. Put the ball in Mahomes hands from the gun 3 times in a row and came up with a FG. Tying the game instead of up by 4 forcing the Niners to get a TD. You mean "that" kind of "pushing harder".
Niners should have won that game. Glad they lost.

Mahomes is great. SFs kicker makes that extra point and he is 2-2 in Super Bowls instead of 3-1.

There is a lot of criticism of 9ers coaching, most of it I absolutely agree with.

That said, taking the ball to start overtime was definitely the right decision.
Why give the Chiefs the ball? If both teams score a TD, Chiefs get the ball with a chance to win on the 3rd possession.

Just some fun reading today, I’m really enjoying myself this morning.

"You know what? I didn't even realize the playoff rules were different in overtime," Juszczyk said. "I assume you just want the ball to score a touchdown and win.

"I guess that's not the case. I don't totally know the strategy there. We hadn't talked about it, no."

It's San Francisco's third consecutive Super Bowl loss since its last win following the 1994 season, making it the fifth team to lose three straight Super Bowls along with the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals. The Niners are also now 0-4 against the Chiefs under Shanahan, the most losses without a win versus any opponent under his guidance.

What an asshole. Breaks a TV that's more expensive than what I get in a year, then tries to assault his buddy. What a fucking loser. Those 69ers fans have issues.
There are quite a few hilarious tantrum videos out there too. Rivaling Cowboys fans in unearned entitlement.

Still, breaking TVs? I get sixty dollars a month in disability. I'm lucky to have a good TV, a good computer, two good Xboxs (X and 360), three good Nintendo products (SP, 3DS, Switch), and a good iPhone. I treat them all well because I simply don't have the money to pay for new ones.

Why do people break shit instead of taking care of it like they should? It's not the television's fault their team lost. It's not the opposing fan's faults their team lost.

I was the lone gal at my folks' house rooting for the Chiefs (my brother hates them because he's a Broncos fan), and credit to my brother; even though a rival team won, he didn't overreact like these loser 69ers fans. He took my ribbing in a positive way, and honestly, he and my siblings...fate almighty, I'm lucky to have them.

Why can't more fans be as easy-going as my brother is?

Simple. He isn't a whiner fan. He has a brain.

I especially loved the part where the lady goes up and uses windex on the TV screen after he obliterated it. Gotta get those smudges off of it :laugh1:

Well, he made a lot of decisions when he was younger that weren't smart, but he has a kid, Jesse, my nephew, and it's really mellowed him. He stopped smoking weed entirely when his nephew was born (and there was a whole fight with his mother - they're now on decent terms - that nearly cost him everything), and he's just...he's grown, he's working a great job, he's a fantastic father (even though Jesse will likely grow up a Broncos fan instead of a Rams fan), and I'm just so proud of him.

Sorry for rambling on the Celebration thread, but...I'm just happy to have my siblings. I love each and every one of them more than words can say, and I'm so proud of them and the stuff they're doing in life.
