Yes. However, if Jonah Jackson or Steve Avila can play on Monday, the Rams will have to make rosters moves.BTW, it also opens a roster spot so this allows them to keep a younger player instead of cutting a guy once they activate Noteboom.
Also - 1) good for Rams - cap savings especially if he wasn’t going to hit his playing time incentive. 2) good for White - opportunity to resurrect his career on another team.So they traded White and a bag of chips, for a bag of chips
They'll send him to the whiners for a 4th rounderGod help us when the Ravens flip him for a 5th rounder.
Does he play for the Rams? Or are you in the wrong forum?
And $1.7 million. So they traded White and a bag of chips, for a bag of chips
Where does it say Rams?Yes.. not to important. When’s the last time a 7th round pick made the time a full year? It’s worth it to get rid of his shitty ass.
Man, he’s been a low cost solution…happy we have Limmer.Limmer playing as well as he is presents an interesting decision of what direction we go. Would be hard to bump him out unless his play falls off.
Yes.. not to important. When’s the last time a 7th round pick made the time (team?) a full year?
Very good, google search. If you meant the Rams ...
Travin Howard, Nick Scott, Tremayne Anchrum, Ben Skowronek, Russ Yeast, AJ Arcuri, Desjuan Johnson and Ethan Evans were ALL 7th Round draft choices in the past six years (under McVay and Snead) that stuck with the Rams for more than a full year.
Three of them helped the Rams win a Super Bowl!
Sure, but it's one less young player that they will have to cut.Yes. However, if Jonah Jackson or Steve Avila can play on Monday, the Rams will have to make rosters moves.
Very good, google search.
Now your next assignment sweetie ...
For extra credit you can go ahead and ... Good luck!
The EJ53 trade - same type of thing. The way I understand it if White played over 60% of the snaps on defense his salary of 1.7 million would be bumped up to 8 million. Therefore, I believe this was a good move for two reasons: first keeping him on the bench may have led to him becoming disgruntled and second, he wasn't playing at a high level and maybe one of the young guys will be an upgrade.
TW was listed, as I said, as DNP/NIR on every injury report since before the first game. Is it your contention that LAR was planning to move him before game 1 & therefore protecting him from injury during practice while playing almost all the snaps in those first 4 games ?!Just two points.
I'm sure White practiced at times this year.
My point on "incentives" was "contract incentives" that would hit the Rams' salary cap if they kicked-in should White be injured practicing after he was benched a month ago. And that's just speculation on my part.
This whole exchange began because I pushed-back on your quote below:TW was listed, as I said, as DNP/NIR on every injury report since before the first game.
That's clearly NOT what I wrote. Below is my comment:Is it your contention that LAR was planning to move him before game 1 & therefore protecting him from injury during practice while playing almost all the snaps in those first 4 games ?!
I don't believe this makes your case that White had not practiced ALL year. Here's the page where you can check all the weekly reports:
Hey! That's not right! He uses periods.Have you heard the expression ... "Read Between the Lines"
With So Ram, you need to read right-to-left and diagonally, skipping every fifth word and seventh sentence. Replacing every third "a" with an "e". Commas are periods. Don't worry about periods because you won't see one.
It also helps if you are drunk or stoned while reading his posts.
Finally, if you are on an acid-trip, his posts make perfect sense.
So Ram ... If you read this, please know that I love you like a third cousin, twice-removed on my father's side.
I don't know.. when it was crunch time.. Speights made a HELL of a play on 4th down in OT.The only thing I worry about is, were the rams premature with the trade? Take EJ for example... You really gonna tell me he wouldn't make our defense a whole helluva better right now if we had him on our roster? He played lights out vs the rams last Sunday and I don't think that's gonna change. Point is, White is a high risk high reward type of singing. Wouldn't it be wise to give a man a little time to knock the rust off? Or do the rams know/see something we don't? What if he goes to the ravens and balls out? Anyone gonna be mad? Because the rams paid a price for white youd think they'd take a longer look at their investment. Oh well time will tell. I dunno ...
