Well, we took a chance on an undersized guy coming off injury and he busted. At least we had an immediate replacement in Akhello Witherspoon who is serviceable.

BTW, it also opens a roster spot so this allows them to keep a younger player instead of cutting a guy once they activate Noteboom.
Yes. However, if Jonah Jackson or Steve Avila can play on Monday, the Rams will have to make rosters moves.

So they traded White and a bag of chips, for a bag of chips
Also - 1) good for Rams - cap savings especially if he wasn’t going to hit his playing time incentive. 2) good for White - opportunity to resurrect his career on another team.

Best wishes to Tre and good luck except in those games we need his new team to lose.

The only thing I worry about is, were the rams premature with the trade? Take EJ for example... You really gonna tell me he wouldn't make our defense a whole helluva better right now if we had him on our roster? He played lights out vs the rams last Sunday and I don't think that's gonna change. Point is, White is a high risk high reward type of singing. Wouldn't it be wise to give a man a little time to knock the rust off? Or do the rams know/see something we don't? What if he goes to the ravens and balls out? Anyone gonna be mad? Because the rams paid a price for white youd think they'd take a longer look at their investment. Oh well time will tell. I dunno ...

Limmer playing as well as he is presents an interesting decision of what direction we go. Would be hard to bump him out unless his play falls off.
Man, he’s been a low cost solution…happy we have Limmer.

Yes.. not to important. When’s the last time a 7th round pick made the time (team?) a full year?

If you meant the Rams ...
Travin Howard, Nick Scott, Tremayne Anchrum, Ben Skowronek, Russ Yeast, AJ Arcuri, Desjuan Johnson and Ethan Evans were ALL 7th Round draft choices in the past six years (under McVay and Snead) that stuck with the Rams for more than a full year.

Three of them helped the Rams win a Super Bowl!

Very good, google search.

Now your next assignment sweetie will be to see the differences of our depth now as a team and PS and that SB team.

For extra credit you can go ahead and list all the previous 2-6 rounders that stayed in those years and see which list is bigger! Good luck!

When presented with simple facts and truths that prove your statements to be inaccurate or wrong, you don't seem to handle it very well.

That's surprising. I assumed you would have gotten used to it by now.

The way I understand it if White played over 60% of the snaps on defense his salary of 1.7 million would be bumped up to 8 million. Therefore, I believe this was a good move for two reasons: first keeping him on the bench may have led to him becoming disgruntled and second, he wasn't playing at a high level and maybe one of the young guys will be an upgrade.
The EJ53 trade - same type of thing.
It’s a trend and there is all kinds of examples.

Just two points.

I'm sure White practiced at times this year.

My point on "incentives" was "contract incentives" that would hit the Rams' salary cap if they kicked-in should White be injured practicing after he was benched a month ago. And that's just speculation on my part.
TW was listed, as I said, as DNP/NIR on every injury report since before the first game. Is it your contention that LAR was planning to move him before game 1 & therefore protecting him from injury during practice while playing almost all the snaps in those first 4 games ?!

Here's the page where you can check all the weekly reports:

Speculation is something we all do here, but it helps to at least have a grasp on the publicly available facts to make it reasonable, imo. I don't know what this weird practice thing means, but it certainly wasn't something that started after he was benched which undermines, imo, your theory.

This whole exchange began because I pushed-back on your quote below:
'That doesn't explain why he hasn't practiced all year'

And, I pushed-back politely, with this comment:
"I don't know about the 'hasn't practiced all year' comment. Is that true? Where did you read this?'

And to be clear, I believe Tre'Davious White absolutely practiced this year.
Below is a photo of him practicing with the Rams.

That's clearly NOT what I wrote. Below is my comment:
"If White had not practiced since being benched, that could be to prevent the possibility of an injury that could cause some of White's contract incentives to kick-in."

Here's the page where you can check all the weekly reports:
I don't believe this makes your case that White had not practiced ALL year.

There are days with no designation ... usually Wednesday and Thursday each week which are usually the heavy practice days.

There is also a designation of (-) which stands for Not Listed. I don't assume those were non-practice days.
If they were, wouldn't the designation be DNP?

Finally, I see that Rob Havenstein has almost identical daily designations as White week-in / week-out.
My guess is that both veterans did practice most Wednesdays and Thursdays but were rested on Fridays which are usually lighter practices.

Again, I pushed-back on a specific comment that Tre'Davious White 'had not practiced all year'.
I think that is naive and ridiculous to believe.

Have you heard the expression ... "Read Between the Lines"

With So Ram, you need to read right-to-left and diagonally, skipping every fifth word and seventh sentence. Replacing every third "a" with an "e". Commas are periods. Don't worry about periods because you won't see one.

It also helps if you are drunk or stoned while reading his posts.

Finally, if you are on an acid-trip, his posts make perfect sense.

So Ram ... If you read this, please know that I love you like a third cousin, twice-removed on my father's side.
Hey! That's not right! He uses periods.

I don't know.. when it was crunch time.. Speights made a HELL of a play on 4th down in OT.
I just don't think most ILBs make a huge impact, overall. I mean.. he was on the defense the Rams torched in OT, right?
