Todd Gurley and Tavon Austin powered the St. Louis Rams over the Arizona Cardinals in a 24-22 win.

Austin scored two touchdowns and the rookie running back carried the Rams in the second half, rushing for all but two of his 146 yards after the break.

Cardinals dynamo safety Tyrann Mathieu tweeted after the game the loss wasn't about what the Rams did.

"Just watched the tape.. By no means did they do anything special, we beat ourselves..." he wrote, before later deleting the tweet.

The Cardinals outgained the Rams 447-328, but red-zone flops will haunt the offense after failing to pick up several third-and-shorts. Arizona lost two fumbles and Carson Palmer threw an interception. Those turnovers led to 17 St. Louis points.

The Cards' defense let Austin get loose for six catches, 96 yards and the two scores. It then couldn't bring down Gurley, who rumbled over a heretofore stout front to seal the victory.

Added Mathieu: "We will meet again... On to Detroit.."

The division rivals meet in St. Louis in Week 13.

Their defense choked!
They had the benefit of playing with the lead against bad teams for three games. When they were put in position of needing a stop they had no answer. TM should just STFU and learn from this lesson. Maybe by week thirteen we will teach him how to handle a season sweep from the Rams.

Arizona's Mathieu: 'By no means did (Rams) do anything special'

Arizona safety Tyrann Mathieu was rather chatty during the Rams' 24-22 win against the Cardinals on Sunday.

He and Todd Gurley even went helmet-to-helmet after the Rams' rookie running back ripped off a 52-yard run in the fourth quarter. That was before Gurley turned a 3rd-and-12 into a 30-yard gain that clinched the win, the last of 19 carries that totaled 146 yards, 144 of which came in the second half.

Rams quarterback Nick Foles completed three touchdown passes, totaled 171 yards and never turned the ball over.

The West Virginia duo of Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey combined for 126 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

It was, without a doubt, the best day of the season for the Rams' offense.

The Honey Badger's take? Not impressed.

"Just watched the tape ... By no means did they do anything special, we beat ourselves..." Mathieu posted to his Twitter account Sunday night.

Mathieu has since deleted the tweet. He followed up with this:

"We will meet again... On to Detroit.."

Should make for a fun NFC West rematch on Dec. 6 in St. Louis.
