I think we’re playing the Falcons, sheesh.

They better bring it in the playoffs. I really hate losing to the 9ers.

Anyone who buys a ticket to a Week 17 NFL game should know ahead of time what they're getting themselves into.

Sucks losing to the 49ers, would have sucked even more to lose Donald, Gurley, or Whitworth or Goff in a meaningless game.

It's December 31st and for the first time in 13 years we can say the Rams aren't done playing football. NOBODY should be unhappy right now.

Thanks for the reminder of how crappy it feels to lose to the freaking 9ers.

Sure hope you can turn it back on next week.

If I was a season ticket holder I'd want a refund.
Don't watch it then!

Sigh so we have to resort to childish name calling to try and force your thoughts as right understood #grow up
Take it how you want. Your problem not mine.

I hate losing to the whiners and their crappy fans. But does anyone who isn't a whiner fan really think the Rams didn't field a preseason caliber team out there? This game had no meaning and the result means nothing. That was not the 2017 Rams out there.

The whiner fans haven't had anything to cheer about so they'll have the offseason to get excited about. We'll give em that. They think Jimmy G. is already on par with Manning, Elway, Montana, Brady, etc. They're already penciling in a Superbowl win next season. It'll be fun to watch them come back to earth when the next season comes around. I still have faith their owner will find a way to screw it up.

I already had to put effort into disingading myself to this game earlier this week.
It's not an easy thing to do against the fucking whiners.

I was ok at the start of the game, but for the first time in my life I didn't watch the entire game.
I had to walk away, because I knew this game didn't matter as far as our season goes. Sitting the starters was the right thing to do.
It's just not easy to watch the Rams lose to the fucking joke whiners. It's not easy to make peace with for a ton of old Rams fans, but again. We're in the playoffs next week and those assholes are going home.

I can't wait to introduce Jimmy Garrapoleopiihevghejnsnn to AD next year aand break there heart.

This guy has to be a troll. Nobody gets mad for the coach sitting the starters in a meaningless game.

The OP is probably a 49ers fan trying to rile us up.

True enough but like I said before they don't let us opt out of games and 9ers games are premium priced so if we all know that so do the Rams and they shouldn't have a premium priced game in the 17th week

Personally resting some starters has become the norm like it or not. I think we took it to a new level with 70% + on the bench. The only ones who suffered were those in the stands both financially and from an entertainment point of view. Imagine if that was your first live game.

No, I think losers are afraid of what might happen.

And I think Sean McVay has a much better feel for the team's need for rest than you do.

Champions are not afraid to compete. Losers are happy just to get in.

Yet, many of the top teams rest their starters every year. What do you know that Mike Tomlin, Bill Belichick, Andy Reid, Sean McVay, etc. do not?

That seems like a weak excuses. The Rams announced early in the week that they were resting starters. If you bought tickets to the game not expecting that, it's on you. If you're a season ticket holder, you probably got your season tickets at a discount because the Rams were a 4-12 team last year, so you reaped the rewards of the Rams vastly exceeding expectations all year long. I think you can deal with us resting our starters for one week to prepare for the playoffs. JMO.

I received no such discount on tickets. Full face value for each and every game.

As enormous as the advantages of rest were, this game had value outside of all that. It allowed McVay to get a good look at his depth all over the team. That will benefit the team not only through the playoffs but also into the offseason as they rack and stack their roster areas that require the most improvement.

Looking at Mannion alone... He had a hard time getting through reads, seemed to process some decisions slowly, and suffered inaccuracy throughout the game. He wasn't helped by the drops, but after watching this one you can go down the list of subpar performances and have a good idea what McVay will be thinking.

I understand why they played the backups and I agree with the decision. I hated watching that game and after experiencing some positive momentum this year. I hated seeing our team play just like the Rams of the last 10+ years. I hate Jimmy Garoppolo and I hate the a hole 49ers. Happy New Year!

I believe the Rams' season ticket prices were bottom 5 in the NFL (on a per game basis).
