That's a very good point OBJ only played like 75% of the season... Gurley dos have a damn good chance to make a push for ORY.

4th game is @ AZ and 5th game is @ GB. I tell you what if he came to play his first game against AZ I'd love to see that shit bird coach of theirs interview after Gurley torches them for 100+ yards.

I have a feeling that Fish will leave him out till after the bye week. Miss the first 5 games and let him get that extra month and a half recovery. Is that enough time to win ORY... could be

That would be my guess as well.

Whatever metric he's using to rank us #14 in run blocking needs to be modified because we were not nearly that effective. Especially when we needed to make a yard or three.

I'd be shocked if Gurley isn't on the PUP List to start the season.

I don't know about that run blocking metric either, but I must admit there were quite a few times where it seemed that better patience/vision by the running backs might have produced a better rush.

One thing is for sure. The Rams have to do a better job of taking advantage of it's RBs talents by getting them the football more via the passing game. Cunningham is good. But, so are Mason & Gurley. And, if he makes the team, Trey Watts might just be better than all of them. Like Amp Lee or maybe even Faulk (minus the speed), I question if most LBs can adequately cover him as he can catch as shows great quicks to me.

Well, let's hope in the case the mighty KC (Casey) has not struck out!

Add on the fact that 3 of our OL starters have changed and last years stats are completely irrelevant.
Good point... I mean, it's not like the starters from last year are returning intact.

I wish I had a feel for how the offense is going to come out of the gates.

Between Gurley not starting for a few games (likely) and the new personnel on that line, it's impossible for me to get a feel for how productive the offense might be.

I'll be looking very closely at that "rehersal" pre-season game. Hope they put up 40!

BUT!! IF we accept his 14th ranking, and assume our O-Line is going to be better this year, which wouldn't be hard to do, The Rams will make it to the play-off!(y):D

I would love nothing more, but I would say that is a serious longshot. Gordon in SD is in a great situation- and should produce from the get go. Cooper in Oak too- should get plenty catches and QBs Winston and Mariotta both should start week one. don't see him winning it. Just being a realist- love to be wrong.

DaveFan'51 full of good stuff:

Love your faith/enthusiasm Dave. :)

It never changes does it? I'm excited and optimistic myself. Just like very year at this time.

The video felt like farm club tryouts for ESPNewbies, but the message was fair decent and could happen.
