Series ending for The Boys
Actually really liked it. I was really expecting some awful, no closure or vague ending where you don't really know what the ending was because they want you think about it kind of bullshit everyone does these days. But they wrapped it up in a very satisfying way I thought. This last season was kind of meh overall but glad they stuck the landing at least.

Nothing I said was really spoilerish but figured I'd blur it out anyway.

Was disappointed to find out the Punisher was just a short movie and there's no plans for a series. They might be planning on blending him in the next Daredevil season. I've seen the first Punisher movie with Thomas Jane. Jane was ok but Jon Bernthal's much better in that role.

Spoilers for The Boys ahead. Don't read if you're interested in watching but haven't gotten into the season.

A-Train's last words aged like the finest of wines. Homelander had his powers taken away, and he turned into a sniveling crybaby coward, desperate to stay alive. Pretty satisfied with Deep's and Butcher's deaths as well; I know he was a main, but Butcher was as much a villain as a lot of the Supes.

Butcher was a lot less evil in the show as compared to the comics, though; comics Butcher was one of the biggest assholes in the series, and I can appreciate the show giving him nuance and depth (with his relationship with Hughie mirroring the relationship he threw away with Lenny), instead of him wanting to genocide anyone with V in them (and actually succeeding in killing most of his ex-teammates with the lone exceptions of Hughie and Annie). So, I'm satisfied with him getting the death he got, facing his mortality with acceptance.

I'm also happy that Ryan got adopted by MM and will get to live the normal life he wishes for...at least, for now; I'm not sure what The Boys: Mexico has planned, but it can't mean anything good.

I honestly think that the ONLY issues I really have with the season is that the Gen V kids did nothing. And it's been axed by the creators, so we're probably going to keep wondering. It's a shame; I actually loved the characters there just as much as some of the characters in the main series.

Yeah it sort of ended like it was the beginning of a new series, Alas....
