I know you were joking but Tutu was the other receiver on his side who cleared out the DBs for that first big catch and run Skow had. It's suboptimal for a second round pick, but if all he does is clear out guys so our 7th round picks get 20+ yards, I'll find a way to be okay with that.
hell yes

I was pretty down on him after the SB, but he's won me over as well. He's tough as nails, and is obviously a football player. Hell, even Kupp drops a ball once in a while.

I've only seen highlights, but damn, Benny Skow was bringing it today. He's becoming a Swiss Army knife for this offense. I love that he was lined up as FB in the I on his first big catch and run. And then, on Akers TD run, Skow (again, from the FB position) delivered a huge block and a lot of pain. If we're not going to have an OL full of road graders, then I fully support using Skow as FB the way McVay has been doing. A lot of FBs are just that - lead blockers for a RB and not much more. Skow can be a FB who's the much more.

Skow was a beast today, but he's always kinda been this guy. Love that McVay is featuring him more, because he works his ass off out there and deserves it.

In his current role, dare I say we have our own budget version of Dweebo? DeeSKOW baby!! Big dude who just gets football. Skow is a dog.

He’s McVays Verizon of the Whiners FB
Juszczyk. And this Swiss Army knife role is growing folks. Love seeing tough football players “period”!!!

.

He's doing a great job but there's no way the offense the Rams really want to run out there can happen with him on the field.

We'll just have to wait for van to come back, if he ever does.

I know that we are hard on him but it still stings to know that we could have had an great O lineman with that pick.
But with our coaching I will not be surprised to see Tutu still become a good receiver with time. We may be singing his praises this time next year!

At this pace we won't discuss drafting a full back next year. I'll need a new game to play with prospects :D

I didn’t give up on him. He was a 7th round rookie last year. He deserved some development time.

Oh and he’s a freaking seventh round pick! That’s great value. Right now he’s looking better than the second and fourth round picks!

they have found a way to use him creatively.

more mcvay genius and the kid doing well so far.

I keep wondering if this has something to do with Liam Cohen’s input. We are seeing a bit more creativity and he was brought in for that reason.

Whenever I see Benny’ with his helmet on, I keep seeing the principal in ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’. I wish I could get that connection out of my brain.

You know for all the grief I give about the Tutu pick I did see that. Hell if he keeps doing that I won’t bitch, eventually it’ll become a double edged sword they can toss him a lay up.

I feel like several of the Skow concepts were done before in this offense with Everett.

Great to see Benny Sko have an outstanding game. Every team needs that possession receiver. This WR room is a work in progress, and by mid-season, they will be freaking dangerous. They can focus all they want on Kupp and the other guys will kill you. Benny's catch and run was a backbreaker for the Cards.

When Jefferson gets back watch the fuck out.

Skow had a great game and I'm glad to see his progression. Looks like he'll be a bigger contributor this season and we actually need it right now until we get back Jefferson. Who knows, Skow might get some of Jefferson's snaps at this rate.

Not a bad take, for a sub squid!
