I get he's been given permission to seek a trade but I wonder what his trade market looks like. Can't imagine he's going to have teams breaking down the door to get him.

Who are the other free agent/trade block WR's out there? I feel like there's a few.

Figured this was coming...

But it seems like they made mistakes... or gave long contracts knowing they were never going to see them out.

And Floyd will be cut if they can't trade him.

Don't know who is receiver needy. After last season might be hard to find someone to take on that contract unless the Rams are paying part of it.

Sigh...and to think he was supposed to be the "jump ball" / 50/50 Ball / Red Zone king here in LA. That worked out well.

I say keep him for another year. He never got a chance to develop any chemistry with Staff. Robinson brings something to the table that Coop and Van don't and that is size and catch radius.
Really hope that the Rams are not overreacting here.....

Where does he end up?
Are we really going to pay some of his salary?
What is our next WR move?

Paying part of his salary means Floyd likley to be cut and shows their focus on obtaining draft capital even if it is a later pick.

Could also mean they want draft capital because they plan on trading picks for a player or to move up. So the more picks the better to make up for lost picks in a trade.

Don’t understand the logic here. Stafford missed camp, the Oline was recasted with injuries, Stafford got beat down and didn’t have time to throw. But Arob didn’t develop chemistry.

Owners need to do a better job at setting the cap system up. This kind of move is just stupid.

It's a CBA there are two sides to it. Players/Union just as much need to do things differently.

I guess I’ll never understand the Rams/ Allen Robinson relationship.

They paid an arm and a leg for him.

Then McVay/Stafford virtually ignored him even when O was struggling.

And now they’re trying to dump him?

All he does is block and catch balls thrown to him. WTH else do they expec?

He can’t throw himself the ball, dammit!

There was a tweet I think I linked but stuffs broken atm citing he was graded the Rams most open WR last year and people calling him a bust of a signing. We, Stafford and McVay, didn't use him or go to him enough it's not on him.

It is going to be interesting to see where we end up come the opening day of the season. We are moving or appear to be moving players who had more contract than production ( subjective to a degree ) to add cheaper and hopefully equally as productive players or at least players that fill roles and can become as productive as their predecessors. The 2nd half of that is still being worked out through FA the draft and trade.

Exciting and nerve-racking, these are the things that really challenge a F.O and leave a stamp of some sort on their legacy.

I don't know what the Rams expected from him considering the OL, QB situation and then topped of by a HC who pretty much did nothing to include him in the game plan. I don't see a replacement doing any better under those same conditions.

I don't buy this whole chemistry thing. There was no problem getting Arob the ball in practice, and it shouldn't take much "chemistry" for a 12 yr vet to get the ball to an open receiver. The "chemistry" argument was used with Woods as well last year, but that was put to rest after Woods posted a game with over 100 receiving yards. Then he got overlooked again. So far this is the 2nd year in a row, every receiver but Kupp has had chemistry issues with Stafford.

Well, alrighty then you're making my point. The issue is Staff and McVay not Robinson, who according to an analysis was more open than even Cooper Kupp.
This tells me three things:
1) Robinson's struggles were not of his doing and, therefore, he should not be punished for them.

2) At this point whoever replaces him will struggle also as I doubt that they will get as open as much as he did.

3) McVay and his new OC need to get their act together. Our offense became very predictable last year with Staff forcing the ball to Kupp all game long. And everyone knew it including the other team.

We deff agree then. But the post i quoted didn't explain Your point like you just did, hence the confusion.
