We were toast when TB waltzed down the field and took that game away.
The season was already lost in reality, but, staying competitive in the NFC was certainly still possible at that point.
That game certainly seemed like when they gave up on the season and just folded up the tent......they just gave up.

all i can say is thank the lord i didn't put any money on them to win the superbowl this season. all the positive feedback from training camp had me itching to put a sizable bet down. in the end i'm just not a gambler so i can't give up the money that way.

little did we know that the positive vibes came from the offense facing the raheem morris ole d in training camp. once they started facing real defenses they looked like utter crap. meanwhile even the most mundane offenses move the ball at will against the rams putrid d.

As much as I look forward to and appreciate the in person camp reports, scrimmaging vs your own team only shows so much. Too much familiarity and poor schemes are problematic, as you mentioned.

Optimism reigns supreme every camp, but this year was the first time I’ve seen a McVay team so overwhelmed in the opener. It wasn’t just losing, it was a fight that would have been stopped.

We are now reduced to a spoiler role until further notice.

I hate to admit this, but I'd be okay with the Rams losing to the sea hags if it meant that the whiners do not win the NFC West. I hope I'm not the only one. :)

If you had told me this time last year … I will give you a Super Bowl victory … but the next season you will be a 3-14 team …
I take the SB victory every time !

yeah that's an easy one but what if the deal was we get a super bowl win but then we have 20 years of losing. i am old enough that i won't be around for 20 more years so i would not take that deal. not saying i think that is what will happen, but it sure makes a difference in how you look at the 2 deals.

1 SB win v 20 years of losing is a tougher question - if you hadn't seen a SB victory then maybe you'd take it - but we have so probably wouldn't take it - 10 years losing I may take.

I've had plenty of losing in 35 years - 2 SB Wins - 4 SB appearances - 11 winning seasons - 2 even seasons - 22 losing seasons.

So up until McVay took over things were grim so I am confident he will turn it around unless he's lost his drive.
