Nah, it was what Covid started, older college players, plus add in the Pro set being run more in college now. The learning curve has been shortened for the kids.I recall about a mere 10 years ago how it was common for WRs to take 3 years to develop into something.
I see now it's down to about 8 games.
I guess humans are evolving.
Is our WR3 as bad as the media claims? Would drafting Lemon or Cooper be the difference?
Ask yourself this. How many teams in the league have a better duo than Puka/Adams? And how many teams have a good WR3? I mean the kinda good that results in 50 plus catches for 700 plus yards and 5 plus TD's like some think you need? And how many teams have the tight end talent we have?

And how many rookies can come in on their first year and contribute with the numbers you mentioned above?
Too early to project his ceiling. Give the kid at least one more year... it takes at least that long to reach your true potential although some guys do hit it early (like Puka).
I'm not so sure... it just seemed like, when Puka & Adams were intermittent, that the O really struggled -- that is, until we started rolling with 13 sets. But, I think that developed because we were weak at WR3. The WR3s we had last season, Mumps Whitt Smith & Tutu did fine, but all are "role" player type WRs, & none of them seem like they could step up into WR2 if one of PN or DA are out.
Klare seals the deal with the growth of our 13 sets, with how potent it was for us last season. But, I really think we have something with CJ Daniels. This kid really looks like he could be a strong WR2 replacement, maybe higher, if PN or DA are out. In Miami, Toney & Marion had more yards, but CJ had 7 TDs to Marion's 2 (Toney had 10) & had the same ypc average as Toney. I really like his chances. But after him, we have a good WR room, but I think only CJ has the potential to step up into the WR2 role.

I mean, I wanna glaze up CJ Daniels but he was a 7th round pick in a weak class.
I don't have a ton of faith that he can produce well if he had to replace Puka or Adams for any meaningful time in this offense but could see a way for him to have meaningful snaps as a 3rd WR in 11 personnel. That would be great!
