And the front 7 tackles well. From what I've seen they wrap up rather than just hit.

Which also alignes with your point about being well coached.

@KayJay that's a fair question. Yes they have played some bad teams but they aren't just winning they are controlling the game or flat out blowing the other teams out by large margins.

IMO this team is very good. Good enough to win the division, and maybe a playoff game. But I'm not sure they can get past GB or NO to get to the SB. And the Rams still have something to say too.

Agreed. Also, we did shut down their run game, forced a couple of key turnovers and ran the ball against them pretty well with Gurley out injured.

We suffered from abandoning the run too early, our own turnovers, the injury to Noteboom in the 1st quarter (Demby :palm:) and an inability to convert multiple 3rd and 4th down opportunities (0'fer including from the 1 yard line).

If's and but's don't change what they did to us. They dominated the game defensively and we were unable to answer.

They definitely have talent and have played well to start the season. Still think their back end of the defense is suspect but with that pass rush they don’t have to hold coverage for long. Arizona and Washington ran the ball on them effectively and slowed that pass rush somewhat. They do close the season with a challenging schedule so they will be tested.

They're doing pretty well considering both of their 1st string OT's are out.

Completely stifled our offense for an entire game after that opening scoring drive.

I'd put them behind Patsies and Complaints and maybe the Pack because of Rodgers.

McVay, and the coach staff, know they will have their hands full in the rematch.

Their running game and defensive front is key for them.

Their front is what we all dreamed ours would be. Somehow Quinn became ordinary. Chris Long, Brockers, Suh. Samson, Matthews, Fowler. Our line backing corps. We always think our guys will dominate, but then it is Donald triple teamed and a bunch of other guys that can’t beat one man to get home.

We have under achieved up front. Despite Donald’s dominance, it seems we have not put pieces in place to free him up enough. And teams seem to play his strengths against him, opening up running lanes, knowing some under-sized linebacker will be pushed out of the way at the second level.

some of this comes down to coaching. Love our coaches. But are they overrated is some area? Why, why, why have the whiners ALWAYS been able to plug in nobodies, (hello Mike Person?, the guy replacing Staley, etc. ) and dominate our guys.

If this becomes another GSOT 3-year window that closes quick, and then the Whiners take over this division? Man, I’ll be pretty frustrated.

Our guys are very good. I don’t see it happening, but gentlemen, the Whiners are good again. Let’s face it.

F#ck!

Goff is an effective runner, that looks to pass first, is among the least sacked and that’s exactly what I want.

And Rogers had a knee last year running around.

Its posts like this - well, I want Johnny Unitas- c’mon dude, any poster can pull any HOFer out of their butt and wish our QB could be a HOFer right now.

To each his own.

Mahomes is hurt and can’t play, clock is ticking on the midgets; Goff is my dude.

Nah, your just taking me wrong. I simply wish Goff was more decisive with his runs. There are a few times a game that he has room to take off and slide, but he waits a little too long to go. I am not saying he needs to be Johnny Unitas. But if he hit those runs when they are there it would give defenses more to be concerned about.

I guess with a record of 8-0 the Whiners are a good team. They capitalized on an easier schedule but, beat the Rams and put a whipping on the Panthers. Shannahan has a nice efficient offense with an inside and outside run game. He is a very good play caller. All this without their starting offensive tackle and fullback says a lot.

On defense they will come after the QB should you get behind. They showed some problems against the run. They seem to have some weakness in the secondary. We have to see how they play when behind.

Overall they still have a ways to go to prove they are the best in the NFC. Jimmy G can make bad throws. I don't think they have been tested enough yet. They have games coming up that will test them. Right now they are better than the Rams. The Rams can play with them and beat them but, need a solid game to beat them.

I think they’re a 5-3 team (good) that’s caught a scheduling break, is one-dimensional and will be exposed a time or two when the luck runs out.
Riding a bit of a hype train right now.
But, they get to be cocky until some team beats their ass and one will.
I agree with this....and Jimmy G is no good
However, Sanders was a HUGE trade.

I think they are really good, but not only do they have a very hard schedule in front of them (compared to an easy one so far if you look at how those teams performed), but coaches will start figuring them out.
I think they are indeed very comparable to 17' Rams, they are a good team, they are surprising everyone with very good coaching and schemeing but eventually the league catches up and slows you down.
I still think they will have a playoff bye though, but their second part of the regular season will be a true test.

Can the NFW West have 3 teams in the playoffs this year ?

They have a scary good D line. Very imposing.

They appear to be well coached.

Watching Kittle pisses me off. We reached for Everett and could have waited and taken Kittle later in the draft.

I cant stand that fucking team or anything San Francisco.
Rams had a chance to draft superstar George Kittle in the 5th round instead Snead reached for mediocre Samson Ebukam. Ebukam pick will go down in history as the worst decision ever by snead-( in addition not resigning Rodger Saffold-not drafting Eric McCoy)

those turds are 8 and 0 so yes they are very good. what is even worse is they are younger than us have more draft picks and probably more cap space. they look to be the dynasty we hoped we were. my only hope is that their coaching staff gets stolen away like ours did and they fall apart.

Fuck me.

The whole nfl had the chance to pick him and only the whiners did. If they knew what he was they would have picked him in the 1st. The draft is a crap shoot.

.

They almost lost to Cleveland and the Browns had a chance at the end. A predominantly running team is good and bad. Good - they wear teams down plus okay action works better when you are good run team. Bad - if some teams jumps on top of them by 14+ the Numbers will need to abandon their strength the run and they do not imo gave a wr Corp.

Overall they are a very solid team that has benefited from the easiest schedule besides the Pats.

They had: Bucs, Bengals, Steelers no Ben, Browns, Rams, Skins, Panthers, Cards pretty easy schedule. Note the rolled the Panthers and we didn't look very good.

Now they have:. Seahawks, AZ, GB, Balt, NO, ATL, LA, Seattle. AZ and ATL the only 2 easier games. They gave a really hard stretch week 10 - 14.

As much as I hate to say/admit it, I think they're both. They're lucky because, like the Patriots, managed to have a super light first half of their schedule. They're good because they win all games they should win, and have stomped a couple of games that people expected them to lose (Rams and Panthers). Cannot knock how well their defense and run game has dominated games.

Their schedule gets hard which will be their true test, but if they manage to win 3 or more of those, then there's no doubt they're good as a lot of their remaining schedule are playoff caliber teams.

This Whiner team has yet to be tested on many levels.

They are better than last year and thats about it.
