Anyone else think the delay was for them to change the helmet horn?

They made such a big deal about the white (old) turning to new (sol) in the logo release, which has the white to sol horn transition. They did it on the numbers of the home jersey. We had leaks from folks who said the saw the helmets and said they had gradient.

I bet they thought that's one compromise they could make on the original concept in the hopes there would be no riot.

I tend to think you're right. I also think they fixed the horn to come to a sharp point vs. a rounded off end, like the secondary logo.
I also think they might have had a bit of orange shadow in it, too, which they must've taken out.
I bet they probably also took the @LA logo off the front of the helmet above the face mask, & now it just says "RAMS".

GO RAMS

I don't think so. I think once they were locked in there was no turning back. Matter of fact, I think the reveal was rushed. I think it was supposed to be in July with the stadium opening. Once the masses started screaming (and all the covid bullshit) they decided to do it early.

Not sure about the "delay" aspect, but I do think the horns on the helmet reflect "compromise".

Are the horns similar to the old ones? Yeah, kinda. Are they fresh and new? Sorta, I guess. A compromise.

Biggest compromise IMHO is the "3D" aspect. In the new Rams' head logo, the 3D effect is more pronounced because there is a different, darker shade of yellow to add to the effect. But if that second shade of yellow were added to the helmet, fans would probably have freaked out. So, they just ended up with the two main colors (yellow and blue) while creating a horn that looks "like it has a line in it."

Does it have a 3D effect? Sorta. Kinda. Maybe. But only if you squint real hard.

The horn needs to come around the ear hole so it looks like.....you know.....a horn.
The Rams are going to get destroyed with this.

Side note....F Rich Brooks.

Please see an actual - you know - like a real ram horn, which the new iteration WAY more closely resembles that the old curly cue thingy.
Jesus guys,

I'm still amazed there was not a riot and it's never too late to start one RIGHT NOW.
I was living in Cali when they changed the horns from white to yellow and I absolutely freaked out.
I vaguely recall what happened;
I stole a car in El Segundo and robbed a liquor store just for the liquor and in a drunken rampage went to Nevada.

It took me a couple days and a lot of liquor but I finally was able to jump on the back of a bighorn sheep.
The thing was pretty tough but after running at full speed for a couple of miles it was exhausted to the point where I was able to cut his horns off.

I had some kind of drunken idea that if I could show them what actual bighorn sheep horns looked like that they would change them back to the big white horny phallic symbols that they were before.
The last thing I remember before being arrested was mounting one of the horns on to the end of a flagpole and trying to enter Carol Rosenbloom's office building.

Do NOT drink stolen tequila on an empty stomach.

That’s how most people end up in Nevada.

I thought I read in the draft coverage that the plan was to unveil the unis during the draft, but that changed with all the COVID stuff, so they did it like they did.

No idea if they changed anything based on the super negative reaction to the logo release...

If there was an actual delay, I think it would be more about the uniform than the helmet.

Not so sure, that's a big deal to rethink/rework the uni. My point was with the backlash from the logo, taking away the white to sol fade from the horn would be trivial when compared to the benefit.
