I'm worried that he may possibly be the guy who gets a big contract and his performance declines.

He's been up and down as a Ram and I don't want to see big money go to a guy like that. CB's are getting 10-15 MIL these days. Handing him that kind of money makes me nervous.

The penalty yesterday was boneheaded and he has a long history of doing dumb stuff.

That late in a VERY tight is extra dumb.

The Rams, specifically Snead have done a great job finding DB talent in the draft and from street free agents. I'd rather see them use that approach versus giving Peters a huge contract.

I would only change my mind if he straightened up and flat out killed it this season.

How did he play yesterday? I was at the game and didn't see him beaten too badly . Having said that, talib is getting pretty old. When his time is up, do we want to need two new defensive backs? Depends on the price.

he's not my kind of guy. when he was flagged for taunting after littleton intercepted the ball i wanted him off the team. kinda like when tru was flagged for taunting after stopping the eagles on 3rd down and giving them a fresh set of downs. i don't like players that put the team second.

ya know... I was waiting for then to show a replay of that penalty like they always do...but it never happened.

I think I remember that play.

He got in Newton's face and did the dabbing motion that Newton was doing a year ago. He said something to him, who knows what.

It was just poor of him.

i dont like rewarding that kind of behavior....not my kinda guy....but i have never played the game at that level...i am not sure of the level of aggression needed to succeed...

that said , i will pass on spending that kind of money on him and live with the consequences ....

He has value, but I expect him to be overpaid. Unless Talib shows serious signs of decline or also wants to be overpaid in annual pay and length, I'd like him to be brought back for a year, maybe two, and a pick or two be used on CBs. The Rams can't afford to sign everybody to big contracts - and CB contracts are among the largest, but Peters has enough issues let somebody else pay him, get a late third, and move on.

Lol most taunting calls are garbage calls anyway. The trumaine johnson one was atrocious. Refs who want to make it about them.

If Talib has a good year I would prefer giving him a 2 yr cheaper deal, and draft a couple guys to replace Peters and eventually Talib.

Keep Fowler if he balls out. Still a young guy and you can't teach the ability he has to close on a passer.

Taunting calls at critical times are hard for me to accept.

Peters still suffers from a lack of maturity and it’s wearing thin, tbh. And it’s not as if Snead hasn’t proven capable of finding good CB’s via draft or FA.

So, either Peters plays lights out AND behaves like a professional this year or I recommend spending our cap dollars elsewhere.

And Peters already owes us a spectacular play just to get back to zero.

I don't care how well he plays. Giving him security would be a massive mistake.
