I kinda started when I was a little kid in the 70's , although to use the world "collect" might be a little misleading

I should say I bought alot trading cards as a kid

Football , Baseball , Basketball

Charlies Angels , Planet Of The Apes , etc

if it came with a stick of bubble gum , I probably bought it

but since being a little kid , the only ones I collect now , are just the Rams base team set , I have every Rams team set going back to like 1968

TOPPS was always the main trading card company , but about 10 years ago , for one reason or the other , TOPPS didn't renew their contract with the NFL and stopped making football cards , they still made other trading cards like MLB , etc

but I was always kinda bummed I had to start collecting Score Trading cards

well , starting this year , TOPPS is back making NFL cards , so I just preordered their 2026 base team set , so I'm a happy camper

I'm like you I "collected" in the 70'& 80's but didn't take care of them but I've bought a few here and there over the years, I've got 2 rookie MaHomes cards worth a little bit. There's a couple of players I want to get their cards here soon, I hate the Patriots like most but I want to get a couple of Drake Maye rookie cards and a couple of Caleb Wilson the UNC basketball player who was drafted by the Bulls this year.

Funny you should post this. I have a bunch of cards I just found and some binders somewhere that are all Rams cards. My son and I started looking up values and most are worth about a buck or two with a couple being in the $15 range. So nothing awe inspiring. Most of the ones I kept are Rams cards. But in total, I probably have about $2000 or so unless some in my binders are worth some money. A lot are in plastic. I used to buy them with my buddies along with Mod Rod sticker packs with that awful stick of hard gum. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of the old Mod Rod cards. I guess those are worth some bucks.
