I just ordered one on black friday

I have no idea what I'm doing , or getting myself into

I've almost bought one several times but still have not. Thinking about it again though.

I tried to fly my son's....once. just one....it was as odd as a chicken fuckin a football. I couldn't figure it out and immediately retired

I’ve had one for a couple of years but don’t use it often at all. I have gotten some impressive shots/vids when I actually break it out but just don’t get around to using it often.

Had one a few years ago.... Between the FAA rules and where you can/can't fly.... I donated it....

It's hard to believe that regulations could suck the fun out of anything, but it did!

I remember the City of Walnut would fly drones over our backyards when I had a home there to make sure residents were keeping their pools clean and free of algae.

I got a knock on the door from the city asking what those two 55 gal. blue drums were I had in the back yard that was being shaded by a pergola. And they asked if they could go in my back yard to inspect.... and of course I told them no (unless you have a warrant). But I did tell them they were 55 gallon VP Racing gas (100 and 110) for my two Cobras. They told me the ordinance was only a total of 10 gallons could be stored. So I told them to come back with documentation that states as such, and I will either remove or downgrade the storage amount..... They never came back, but after I depleted them I never refilled them.

But personally I don't think I would ever own a drone as the only purpose I could see is spying on people. And if I saw one flying over my house today I would try and knock it out of the sky with my sling shot (I use on coyotes) and smash it into a million pieces.

Where I live the city has a drone it flies at times, usually when special events are going on.
Its pretty good size.
Ive seen it twice just slowly, silently cruising along crossing major streets.
