So looking at Aaron Donald on his MVP worthy season, he has a ton of sacks, more than a dt typically would. My question is, how many sacks has Donald had out of the 4-3 dt position as opposed to as a dt in the 3-4 scheme? Not that it makes a huge difference, but I think it’s a bit easier getting sacks out of the 3-4 scheme.

Donald is playing as a 3-Technique. That's the same spot he played in the 4-3.

Rams have been moving him around to try and find more favorable matchups, but he still lines up between the tackles on the majority of plays, which sets him apart from every other elite pass rusher in the game.

You're right, he gets more sacks then anyone thought possible for an interior lineman in today's game. Redefining his position, the same way JJ Watt did for 3-4 DEs a few years ago.

None of his sacks are a cheap as Strahan's final sack in 2001

The day Brett Favre disrespected the game and shit on whoever held the sack record because he wanted to decide who should hold it.

All depends on how the standings up to the last game, or two pans out.
It has to be relevant to the team for us to chase wins. As long as we are chasing victories due to playoff seedings, he has a chance. If/once it becomes irrelevant, then Donalds pursuit will come to an end, because the greater good of keeping him healthy/fresh will take priority.

It was Mark Gastineau of the New York Sack Exchange. He and Joe Klecko were terrors.

I think if we have a bye in the playoffs, we start our starters through week 17. Sounds like McVay was not happy with resting the starters week 17 last year, so I can't imagine he would rest starters and have them off for 2 weeks.

In 1981, for the Jets, Mark Gastineau had 20 Sacks, AND Joe Klecko had 20.5. Unfortunately, Sacks didn't become an official stat until 1982. They were fun to watch.

This video takes me back. Loved Madden and Summerall. Watch the FG at the end, back when a 40 yard FG had you crossing your fingers. Listen to the ref sort out the penalties. LOL. Just a different time.

Man, there are so many great players on the field.

To me the biggest difference is that he is finishing plays. His first couple years he seemed to just miss hitting QBs, now hes exploding thru guys and making tackles
