One thing though. The story started with Garrett and McDuffie as 2 of the top 6 stories. But the entire article made no mention of Jaylen Watson joining the Rams. I guess there's only so much talk about 1 team!!!!

The article moves on to "Who got paid!!!" and that's mainly about Mahomes. But the feeling just doesn't seem right. At least not like his contract after his rookie deal. This one seems like, "thanks for all you've done, you're a fucking magician. Here's some more jack, please hang around, we don't think we're going to be able to compete like we used to". That part of the story moves on to Will Anderson, then McDuffie and eventually to kickers, where my interest wanders.

Finally the article closes with "quick hits" like the annual Rodgers saga, the new Aaron Donald returns and then they lose me once again when they start in on Kelce/Swift and those ridiculous international games. It's AMERICAN football. Quit trying to horn in on soccer.

Anyway, it's a decent review of the off season, which only means 1 thing.......the season is getting closer!!!!!!

The Garrett trade was probably the biggest offseason news. Traded to a team that was already stacked and became the favorites when they traded for McDuffie and signed Watson. Those two made what was once the weak link of the team a strength. Garrett makes what was already a strength even better. Verse was really good at pressures. Garrett will not only provide that, he'll finish the play with more sacks. If Donald returns, he won't have to be 100 percent of his former self. 90 percent is still better than most. Imagine how deep that rotation will be with Garrett, Donald, Kobie, Fiske, Poona, Young and Stewart. And a few young guns like Davis, Hamilton and Keenan hungry for their shot.

Good I have mixed feelings about our players getting nationally hyped and if they don't I love being under the radar. We'll have to see Watson on the field for us and if sneaks up on anyone watch out. His mentor was a tough solid hitter so I expect him to follow up on that. We could always use another Ramsey-type gobsmacker in the 2ndary.
