Yeah - even if he's penciled in as the starter for this season - I have to think I'd be starting him against a team that isn't going to be sending Long, Quinn, Donald, and Brockers after my rookie pocket passer.

Trial by fire? Our d line will be horrifying for any qb let alone a rookie in his first start...might be a very short season if they send him out against us

Matt Cassell will probably start that game, IMO.

For sure I think. He is not great but clearly the best option at QB for them now. If he can use play action off an effective running game he can make some things happen.

I'm expecting great things but lets not get too cocky. I get slapped in the face every time I get my hopes up too high. I recall taking a beatdown from the Vikings and the Jets in 2012 after I downplayed them to my friends. Can't count your chickens before they hatch.
