The Rams' rushing stats thus far don't look very strong (87 yards/game, 3.4 yards per attempt), but I've noticed an interesting exception: 4th Quarter rushing success.

In "pure" running plays (handoffs to running backs) here are the Rams 4th Quarter numbers:

Week 1: 11 carries, 62 yards
Week 2: 10 carries, 44 yards

If this proves to be an ongoing trend, its a good one. The ability to use the running game as a "closer" in the fourth quarter can be very valuable. Top opposing QBs can't beat you with heroics if they can't get on the field.

Hopefully, this will continue.

This quick strike offense could be contributing to a more rested O-Line capable of winning the battle in the trenches later in the games.
I loved seeing the running game "break through" and gash two very tired run defenses the last couple weeks.

Good trend indeed.

I guess the long standing debate is settled. The pass sets up the run.

Go Rams!

I like the idea of taking over and being a strong team in the 4th QTR.

Physically, but just as important; mentally.

This Ram OL seems to be gelling, too. That’s huge.

Plus, I’m starting to believe that the Carberry hire was a brilliant one. I’m giving him lots of credit for the Allen and Hav improvement, tbh. Not all of the credit, but certainly some of it. I don’t believe in coincidence.

Me to. But with Sony I think it will pick up. He really runs with power and a nice burst.
If Hendo can stay on the field, they will make a very good duo.
If your implying Sony #1 Hendo #2 I can't disagree with that either.

Sony is very smooth running inside. They way he runs low, I never
would have thought he is 3 inches taller than Hendo.
Hendo could take some pointers from Sony. Hendo seems to run upright way too much.

Hopefully we can stay healthy on oline.
I just have a good feeling about this group.
I think they could be the best line we have had in a while.
They just need to continue getting reps together.
