0-13 on 3rd/4th down. 78 yards passing. I'll say that again, 78 yards passing in today's NFL.

Youre right man I'm sorry. Goff was obviously the better QB today. What a fucking stud.

4yrs - $134M :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:

Gave you a chill, but I forgot that I was in the Vent thread, so my bad.

I disagree about Goff, so I’ll move on.

See ya

Just got back from the game.... I don't know how to feel.. in the last 3+ years since returning I haven't seen anything like this. Seriously.... What the fuck is wrong with the offense? Watching, I didn't see receivers wide open and missed. I'm shell shocked. My Gut??? My gut says it's play calling. Which, if it's the case... reeks of the days of Martz. Reeks of the days of inability to adapt. Right now my Rams soul is fucking screaming.

this is exactly it. he needs time. he's not wussell, or watson or any other qb that can run around when the pressure is coming and create time. he needs a little time to function and somewhere in the pocket to move into so he can make a throw.

i think when the oline gets beat continuously from the get go and he's constantly under duress his game suffers even when he actually gets some time to make a throw in those games. his timing just goes way off.

the rams gambled on fowler and lost. easy to say now but that's what happened. he's not getting a ton of pressure on the qb and the oline has rendered the offense useless against good fronts. saffold would have at least given the oline one less problem.

.

I don't think they lost on Fowler. He's made some great plays and he does get pressure. He's also much better in run support than he's given credit for.

If our interior OL wasn't such an issue right now, Fowler wouldn't even be on the card to be mentioned...

I agree with the Goff and offensive line.

I don't think it was simply Fowler over Saffold. I think the Rams made up their minds on Saffold long before this offseason. They gave Havenstein an extension early last year. I was a very big proponent of resigning Saffold early and cheaper than letting him become a free agent.

I think they gave Fowler more money than he is worth but, was hoping he turned the corner. There were some cheaper alternatives but, the Rams needed someone to help Donald.

I like Fowler of course, but 1) OL is just a more critical position group imo, and 2) Quality OL is more rare and harder to come by.

You're right about the play calling . How do other teams game plan against a great rush ? They dump it just over the LOS and let someone make a play . Just like the 49ers did to them today .
Every 3rd and 2 or 3 the Rams run , they either throw it 10 yards or have a one man route that gets double coverage and still short of the sticks . McVays magic has been figured out , and he hasn't adjusted . He must believe all the hype that was piled on him , but he has been getting schooled by superior minds . He looked lost today

I've been wondering this too. Seems like we used to actually do this, with TG in fact. When Goff got pressured, he often just dumped it over the pressure to Todd or whoever for a big gain, often gashing. We seemed to always be able to make Ds pay for whatever they tried. Hard to tell what's going on with that now.

I hate to add to the shyte show. yeah, our Oline is crap and if we don’t trade for a one or two legit starting Olinemen, this season is done.

Having said that, our QB can only function with a good Oline. I know that provisionally true with all QB’s, but Goff looks so bad when things break down. I’d say he has a good 40% chance to lose the ball when things break down, or at least it seems that way. We are locked into Goff, unless we trade him. I have jokingly said “Tank for Tua” (top rated QB in next years draft). Is Goff a slightly better version of SamBradford? Right now I’d kill for a young version of Brett Favre

He's playing in New York for the Jets.

We haven’t drafted a player in the first round since Goff, 3 years ago. The Niners are loaded with young first round talent. And it shows.

Snead’s idea that you can keep trading down and still get studs is both arrogant and stupid.

Well now you're about to experience the antithesis of those two seasons.....it's called resorting to the mean!!

My point is, that if we can fix our OL in the offseason, we can get better in a hurry. In both of those seasons I mentioned we went from terrible OLs to extremely solid OLs in one offseason. It can be done.

Couldn’t watch it live so just finished. Not sure what to think so some random bitches.

LA fans should be ashamed of themselves for that showing.

Offense just has so much trouble getting rhythm this year. When they do we take the player out that created the spark or we give a sack, penalty, turnover to kill it almost every time. Oline is just heartburn waiting to happen.

Defense is talented and plays great like 80% of the time but just manages to give enough plays to stay on field and give up points.

I fucking hate the whiners.

i was wondering why there were so many empty seats. then i realised they were whiner fans.

disappointing.

.
Next year going to have a shiny new stadium with probably no sellouts. I cannot even imagine how bad it will be when the Chargers play there. I am flying out to attend one game. It definitely won’t be the niner game, as I would go to a game closer to home, if I wanted to attend an away game.

the offensive line needs to play with some pride.

But it's also time for Goff to deliver with pressure... coming in he was one of the worse or the worse QB when being pressured.

He cowers away and flips it... which I get - I'd jump on the ground and go fetal.

But he has to stand in there, sometimes he has no chance, but other times he has a chance and he flings it without standing in.
