Ford and Sherman will be held out until Seattle. That is the game that matters to them.
One game at a time.
Talib as well
Edwards will be a real good guard, he plays high a bit, but he is strong with good feet...he might be ok. He hasn't been dominated when matched up against good DTs.Losing their Center could be huge. Guess who plays 3T for the Rams? Normally it's the center and OG doubling on him.....
The Ram's o-line is completely different than the one they faced the first time. This version is far better. Also they are much improved this time around in the secondary as well. The Ram secondary right now is better than the one they rang up big points on in Aintville.
Turnovers and mistakes will be the only way I see the Niners winning that game. They are a good team for sure. But it's about matchups. The Ram secondary matches up well and the Ram d-line matches up well. The Ram offense IMO is better than the Aints because of the quality of the WR's. They will be in zone most of the time because of the depth of WR's, TE's and Gurley. So give Goff time and he's got the accuracy to destroy it.
As is the case in so many games it's going to be won or lost by the play of the 0-line and D-line. Win the LOS on both sides and win the game. A month ago I wouldn't feel so confident. But this O-line is coming together. Edwards and Blythe are the only real weak points. I expect the Niners to run multiple stunts against a young line. How well they adjust will be the key. The problem is Blythe has shown he struggles both at C and OG seeing the stunts. I would like to see McVay run more two back sets or at least play Brown on obvious passing downs, as he's a much better blocker than Gurley.
Overall I feel good about this game as long as they can stay healthy and eliminate mistakes.
The first game vs SF featured a middle school offense. The next game vs SF will feature the NFL LA Freaking Rams offense.I like MCVay's track record when playing a team for the second time. I think the Rams have a good shot at winning the Niners matchup. This team is playing much better on both sides of the ball. They have a revamped defense with the addition of Ramsey, and Hill starting. Brockers is playing better than he was earlier in the year. Lately Ebukam has been showing up too.
On offense, the number one issue has greatly improved. OLine was bad in the first matchup. Plus this group will have another game under their belt by the time they play the Niners.

I was angry at snead when he drafted Samson Ebukam (2017 4th round) over Kittle (2017 5th round) It's becoming clear the 49ers got away with robbery when they selected tight end George Kittle in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft. The No. 146 overall pick is outproducing his third-year counterparts by a wide margin.
Before the draft I wanted Kittle in the 3rdso you wanted him to draft kittle in the 4th after he had drafted everett in the 2nd and with higbee already on the roster?
really?

Is it just me or does it seem the stars are aligning for our Rams?
I’d say football is a cruel mistress some days. She’ll tease you, then ...Is it just me or does it seem the stars are aligning for our Rams?
49ers C Weston Richburg out for year; Richard Sherman, Dee Ford also hurt
Well TRex you care enough to post in this thread. That’s what truly matters.
