Is it starting to look to anybody else like BY won't be an extension candidate for us???

Yeah, they will let someone overpay him and gladly accept a decent comp pick in 28'.

I think the focus will be on McClendon, Nacua, and Turner. Maybe Avila as well, depends on how well he and McClendon play, and whether Trost looks to be a better fit at RT or G.

My guess is only Nacua & Turner get extended in season.

Starting? BY has pretty much been always considered as an unlikely extended type. Both himself (age, etc) and the rest of the roster needs/extensions. This is nothing new.

This dude. Did he ever play ball? Seems like he doesn't understand how competition works.

Higs will need to beat out Parkinson and maybe Ferg in camp for that inline role. He's capable of it, but the coaching staff trusting him isn't going to be what determines things. Competition will determine things. And competition is not a mess. It's an assurance that whoever wins will have their best chance at getting it done in the scheme.
SURE Merlin ,

I understand what your saying, but IMO this 2026 is going to be even BETTER than last season on Offense!!

This 13 personnel is for REAL & Higbee (Parkisian) Stafford are Passionate about it !

The FIRST TEAM ran a 13 Personnel play and they were GEEKED UP about what they were SEEING & RUNNING!! DAVIS ALLEN is apart of this group as well.

Parkisian had a TD on one play earlier in the series.Higbee has turned into an excellent blocker. He will find his way around The GRASS!

Mattew Stafford was SO FIRED UP like a kid running plays in the DIRT!! Those guys are going to be on the same page.

What happens in the running game & pass protection is really going to help move the CHAINS down the field. The way EVERYONE EATS is by keeping feeding The RB’s.When defenses get tired & are on the field for Longer Periods of Time is what challenges the Heart.

Ugh, hate to hear BY might have a chronic thing with his knee. Hopefully just being super cautious. Maybe Stewart taking the next step lets BY stay fresh through whole season.
Yup definitely worrying since its the same knee from last year and he admits to it being an issue. Injuries are a bitch.

Kupp doesn't qualify as a late round pick since he was picked in the 3rd. I guess for me late round would be 5th and beyond.
Yeah but I consider rounds 3+ as a difficult range to hit on an elite wideout. The term "late round" was definitely a misnomer though. Thought I got away with it too.

Wouldn't that be awesome? The rest of the league would be so pissed. Owners to GMs would be, “WTF? Why can’t YOU do that?”
Always awesome when we hit on picks period. Definitely more of a wtf factor from other GMs the later the pick is though. I'm greedy, I want all of them to hit.

As long as we hit, I'm a happy camper. Doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks prior to because we all love em when they produce.

Agreed. And that's the crazy thing, that the Rams have hit on elite players at that position outside the early going. I mean it's one thing to hit on that range and get a contributor to your offense, maybe even a good starter. But dudes who dominate... McVay and Snead clearly have something going in identifying these guys.

Anyway glad to see CJ starting strong and hope it continues. This is a tough league for wideouts to adjust to and the Rams offense is probably one of the more difficult schemes as well. Just with the detailed approach you know McVay takes on everything. So as you say if he hits, as in being a contributor for us, I'm happy. If he's more than that, even better.

1. Stafford looked in Game Form already. He did get sacked a lot though. Myles curled up SO he didn’t hit him.
I remember seeing SJD69 as a rookie lay Jared Goff out during a training camp day.
2. We were looking for B. Young, but he had the Day Off.
(D. Johnson is balling out)
3. Back up QB -
Ty Simpson is taking to Long in his Reads !!! Bennett was ok,but the defense played well.Inthinj he through a pick.
4. CJ Daniels- I agree he was impressive.C.Smith was more on the left side.He was running around, but I think I saw 5 catches by CJ Daniels yesterday (day 2). He doesn’t look like a rookie.
D. Adams just uses Jaylen which WORRIES Me.
Puka had the 1 handed catch which was CRAZY.You could hear the THUD,next thing you know he’s running down the sideline for a TD.

5. Cam Lampkins- I’ll be a little more prepared next time, but he is wearing #21.The number changes, speed of practice & SO much going on makes it tough to see everything. Was KAM Kinchens #21 his rookie year?(think he has changed numbers 3 times).
—Forbes was lining up as a 1 on 1 corner.LCB mainly.
Josh Walsh was lineup a few times at CB.He also was moving around.

My guy of The DB’s was KAM Curl with High Energy. He made a tackle Day 1. He is physical & a veteran DB who was a nice FA to resign.

The guy in person who stands out is Dan Vallari . Especially with those HUGE HELMETS !!

It shouldn’t. Adams led the league in TDs, and it’s always easier on the offense in the early practices
