This thread is off the rails, so fuck it. Upstate NY is where my heart is. I am currently in coastal DE, which is fine. 4 seasons and all.... But I want spring thrue fall in 1000 Islands, and a few months in FL. That's the goal as of now.
Don't blame you. Used to go to southern Onatrio on a yearly fishing trip for over 20 yrs. Just took rt 81 up through Watertown, over the 1000 Islands bridges. Yeah I miss the downtown. Easiest big city to get in and out of the downtown for a nice night of dinner and drinks or downright partying. Incredible really, and so many great bars. Also that's probably the city with the biggest concentration of friends, who I miss hanging with as well. I don't miss many places, it's a small list but SD is on it.The literal cost, haha.
Its expensive and crowded....turns out a lot of folks like good weather.
When I moved away from San Diego I didn't even own a jacket, didn't need one.
Yep, me too.Yeah I miss the downtown. Easiest big city to get in and out of the downtown for a nice night of dinner and drinks or downright partying. Incredible really, and so many great bars. Try to keep it at 72? In Minnesota? What? You have to have the heater on to get it to that temperature. When we were in Florida in our house down just south of Tampa, it would be $500/mo to keep it at 72…65??? That woulda been $1000 easy. And we left before the bills went ballistic from the data centers.
Easy to do that here in Minny, tho…
That's cheaper than my heating bill during the winter months. We're just south of Sarasota. Keep it between 72 and 75 during the summer and it runs us between 350 and 375 a month. Winter is a piece of cake.
I agree except for a lot of the nutcases that live there. And the homeless problem is really bad in San Diego.San Diego (Encinitas) would be my choice if money didn’t matter.
Speaking of grimy beach towns, Ocean Beach is a real throwback. It has that feel Huntington and Newport used to have back in the 80s before developers destroyed that old beach culture.Yep, me too.
Making my living back then playing music and stuff, a few cool rock clubs down that way too.
Great beaches and grimy little beach towns.

My heating bill would be ridiculous.
Does solar not help?I “think” my plan is to move to retire to Northern AZ like my Mom and Dad did. My sister got the fuck out and moved to San Diego. Im still here in summer hell.
Interestingly enough, solar energy is not the dominant energy producer here in metro PHX. There are many reasons as to why. Wrong thread to unpack all that. LolDoes solar not help?
My bone is parked in the booty and boobies threadsWTF?
Is this thread about training camp or where you want your bones to park?
