I was shocked when I looked at tickets this morning for this game. They either haven't released them all or they have damn near sold out already. And the prices are nearly double last years yikes.
I was shocked too thinking I could book a game or two right out of the gate. At Sofi for Giants I saw $297 each for a 300 section corner behind endzone and $427 each for a 200 section at the back of the endzone.
I have a group of 4 in my family that wants to go, so that's $1500-$2,000 in tickets. In the 1980's my father bought 5 season field level tickets at Anaheim for about $850...for the WHOLE season, not just one game.
I also moved to the Phoenix area from OC, so have travel and hotel costs. It starts to be like a $5,000 venture to see one 3 1/2 hour football game.
Also, did you see the prices for the premium games like Chiefs, Cowboys, Bills? Many tickets are $1,000-$2000 each.
How do people afford to go to football games these days? I don't get it.
I did read that prices may be jacked up the day of and shortly after schedule release day, so maybe they will drop a bit in the near future.
Lastly, I checked some away games, and the Raiders, Broncos, Eagles all had even higher pricing than Sofi, except Washington, which had a lot of tickets in the $200-$300 range.
