Who do we all think will come down under for one of the Rams home games? I’m thinking the Chargers. Doesn’t affect the Divisional matchups, and East Coast teams won’t have the extra travel burden.

I really hope it’s not the Cardinals if they do go Divisional. I’ve already seen the Rams play them.

The game is slated to be Rd 1 which could mean an early bye too.

Who’s up for a RODfest in Melbourne?

No Bull Shit. None at all. No Conspiracy.

It's a formula.

Play division opponents 2x (six games)

Play every team from two divisions (1 NFC and 1 AFC); and do so on a rotating basis (eight games)

Play teams that finished in the same place in their division as you did ... Rams finished in 2nd place this year, so they play the Bills, Packers and Bucs ... ALL teams that finished in 2nd place.

I have not bothered to check the Seahawks 2026 opponents ... Don't need to ... Same as the Rams except Seattle will play the 1st place teams from the same divisions the Rams will play the 2nd place teams ... Patriots, Bears and Panthers.

Agreed. Not saying anything is "rigged", but timing of when you play certain opponents is vital. For example, the whiners beat the hags on opening day when they weren't that good. The Rams played the hags when they were at their best. Just luck of the draw for that. That said, the Rams will beat the hags if we meet them again, hopefully for the "golden ticket" to the super bowl.,

Understand, and agree.
My post was responding to someone who seemed to think selecting opponents was an arbitrary process.

As So Ram put it "so many good teams" is exactly what the NFL wants, parity. And it works. If you're a good team, those random games vs two divisions in your conference and 1 in the other conference are going to be vs good teams (or at least the better teams from the weak divisions). If you're a shit team, you match up vs other shit teams. It creates interesting games as well as rivalries. How many times have we played the Eagles and Packers during McVay's tenure? A lot. Philly 6 regular season matchups, Green Bay 5 in 9 years. Plus as a bonus once each in the postseason because the Rams, Eagles and Packers are all good teams. And look....we play them both again in 2026. I hate them both as much as any division team except SF. Under the formula, you're guaranteed to play every conference team at least once every 3 years and every team from the other conference once every 4 years. Remarkably fair and simple.

That is pretty much the entire point of my one substantive post on this topic, in response to the statement ... 'Such Bull-Shit scheduling'.

Iron sharpens iron baby. I would rather the Rams go into the playoff after being battle tested then just cruise in after having a soft schedule and then get punched in the mouth. NFC West is currently the most competitive division in the NFL and has a good chance to be that way next year.
