I'll believe the Myles Garrett thing when it happens but lets say it is true.... I'm on the fence with that one. I would love to watch that beast on our team. Would instantly make our defense a top 3 if not a #1 defense in 2026. But he's also 30. I would give a first rounder and some other stuff. But a Ricky Williams type trade? I struggle with that kind of compensation for any player that's not a top 5 veteran QB. It does help that he is a physical specimen that clearly won't let himself go plus he is probably hungry as hell to be on a winning team. But damn that'd be a lot.
This was another important facet of the Simpson pick. If we are still searching for our next Franchise Quarterback we would be unable to make draft picks-for established-player trades.

As part of his record-breaking $160 million contract extension with the Cleveland Browns, the clause gives him complete veto power over any potential trade, allowing him to choose his destination or decline any deal he does not agree with

Sooooo I just received a text chain from my friend..take this with a grain of salt but he is an nfl insider and has broken a ton of news with me before (knew we were officially getting McDuffie days before it happened)…
Apparently the Rams are favorites to get Myles Garrett..looking like a done deal..but it include multiple 1sts and……Jared Verse…
Not sure how I feel about that..but like I said take it with a grain of salt.
Damn, Bryon Young yes, but Verse? I guess they play the same position, but Verse will be 26 this year and Garrett will be 31. Maybe the Rams just love trading guys with the name of Jared.

Im not a huge Myles Garrett fan. The stuff with the Steelers QB soured me. Plus, I'm not a fan of acquiring anyone north of age 30
