Yes, but a few things work in favor of looking to Allen here:
1) he is more likely than Diggs to accept a lesser role (third receiver on a team that runs a lot of 13 formations)
2) he still put up 81 receptions last year, and 70 the year before that (in a bad year for him with the Bears)
3) he has indicated that he really only wants to play in LA at this point, so we are one of the only shows in town for him. And if he is looking to chase a ring in his last year, we may be the only show in town for him.
All well and good. But a year you get and it seems to me less injuries though I haven't looked at it that much. Plus he brings a different skill set that we need more imo than Allen.

I don't know that we sign either and I think we'll make a push for AJ Brown. But I'm thinking Diggs is a better need fit.

If the 12 and 13 personnel stuff is real, will Diggs want to come go a team as a 3rd option? I imagine he can at least be a #2, probably in New England again.
NE gave his number away though.....I think that says how much they want the guy back. I just don't see them taking on Diggs again but I could be wrong.

The elephant in the room on Diggs is his perceived attitude ... really not sure they want to add anyone who may be an off-field challenge when we are trying to keep Puka in check. I know we can't add another Kupp as a mentor - we were very lucky to have that to open Nacua's career - but another professional like Allen would certainly be a positive.

I know Diggs wasn't convicted, just like I know Puka was likely targeted in his case (through bad decisions on his part, but likely no malice). But I also know he is just a kid - a talented kid who is absolutely a MAN on the field - but with the amount of money we will most likely be paying him, just not sure the front office will feel it would be worth adding a potential headache for a role that will clearly be minimal unless there is an injury.

Pretty sure he's injured more than not. I think id prefer Diggs just seems like a better compliment to what we have.
Talent wise Diggs is by far the best free agent option right now. Mental wise he's the worst. Not sure that's someone McSnead would ever bring in. Either going to be a huge success or DeSean Jackson 2.0.

I can see it both ways honestly. I think Adams and Stafford and most importantly Our coaches can handle him. Not sure though I want him around Puka since we're hoping he's figuring it out. I just think after AJ Brown, who also has question marks, he's the best need fit.

Great counter points.....

New England is gonna blow up. Could you imagine our coach being caught fucking a (married) female NFL reporter for the last 6 years? Pats gonna be toast soon, sure there is gonna be more fallout. Vrabel is shit and now everybody is finding out. Fuck the Pats!

I dunno, played in only 12 games in the last 2 years. Maybe a 1 yr prove it deal?
GOOD
CB L'Jarius Sneed is only 29 with 7 season of history now. Before the 2024 & 2025 seasons he remained healthy and contributed to his teams NFL Championships as a starter for 3 seasons (2021 thru 2023).

BAD
First, the negative criminal shooting involved incident...
2024 season fully derailed by injuries.....
2025 season derailed by injuries .....

WHY CONSIDER CB L'Jarius Sneed

*Rams lost 5 (FIVE) veteran signed CB's at the conclusion of the 2025 season;
#1)-Darious Williams
#2)-Cobie Durant
#3}-Roger McCreary
#4)-Derion Kendrick
#5)-Ankello Witherspoon

*Rams only retained 2 master roster corners from 2025.
*Rams brought in & signed 2 veteran CB's.
*Rams did NOT draft any CB's.
*Rams resigned 2 CB's from last season's Practice Squad (Cam Lampkin & Alex Johnson).
*Rams sign 3 UDFA corners.

I am open to signing him for a 1 yr contract along as the contract would have to contain highly comprehensive & strong clear wording covering the protection of the Rams team first & foremost.

L'Jarius Sneed is in great need of a personal re-assessment to his vocation.

If the knee and quad check out, it could be worth a shot. Watson might have some insight on just how bad the injury is and maybe if there was a conflict in TN. Seems unlike he would recruit him like this if he felt he couldn’t play. The knee does concern me though.

Good take. :thumbsup1:

I don't know much about Diggs though, so if the Rams do their diligence on him and aren't worried I wouldn't be either. Teams always have that inside knowledge with the incidents.

The Colts released Kenny Moore II for financial reasons. I don't think the Rams would be interested, and I don't think he's worth the likely high cost, but you never know. And they really need a coverage corner, which he is not. Just an FYI...

AI says:

Pro Football Focus graded him 66.7 overall, ranking 39th out of 114 NFL cornerbacks, which puts him squarely in the above-average starter / high-end role player tier
  • Strengths: He was excellent versus the run, earning a top-5 run-defense grade among all corners, showing he’s still physical and reliable in the slot.
  • Coverage: His coverage grade (62.1) was more middle-of-the-pack, meaning he’s better against quick, inside receivers than speed threats or frequent man coverage on the outside.

Bottom line

  • ✅ Still a starting-caliber nickel corner
  • ✅ Very strong vs. the run and short-area routes
  • ❌ Not a top-tier coverage corner anymore
  • ❌ Less appealing for teams needing outside CB speed or long-term upside
