Ok, but then why did they move up in the draft to pick him? to literally ride the pine for an entire season? behind even Rivers?
I hope you're right. But maaann, not even 1 reg season snap in 2025? (he did get a few in pre-season)
Draft isn't for just one year. Patience with the kid I seriously doubt they cut him.

Man, I like the thought but he's going to be 31 by end of season. Do you trade that much for a 30+ year old defensive player? I know he's the best in the game at his position... that's a lot of cheddar for a 30+ year old non-QB. I'm not saying no... maybe two 1sts and a couple others. It would definitely be the ultimate "fuck them picks" move though. It would be fun as hell watching him with Verse/Turner/Fiske/Young/etc with our new secondary. QBs wouldn't have a chance.

If he busts he busts. Not too worried about it. Nobody bats a thousand in the draft. And he should get another camp so let's see how he does.

Our veteran #3 RB got 9 carries on the year and 8 of those were in mop up duty in a 45-17 win. There is absolutely nothing to lose your mind over a rookie not getting more than that hahaha

Nobody’s losing their mind over it. Rams needed to add speed and explosives to the offense and they did(still need too).

Fans are just questioning why he’s gotten basically no PT at all, even on a struggling ST’s squad.

Man was cutting him because of his rookie season. Hardly a rational thought especially when we have seen McVay not use rookie RB very often. Add to that we had the best RB duo in the league and the top offense in the league. That's not easy for a rookie RB to crack. Calling for him being cut is not a rational suggestion at all.

Quentin Johnston could be a possibility. I don't believe Johnston has played to his potential from the limited Chargers games I've watched, but maybe McVay, and being around Puka and Devante could help up his game?

Los Angeles Chargers News

Kris Rhim of ESPN reports that the Chargers "love" WR Quentin Johnston and "believe in him", but that the "right offer" could change their willingness to trade Johnston because they have "somewhat of a logjam" at wide receiver.

Why It Matters:
The Chargers remain strong at wide receiver thanks to good recent drafts, so Johnston could be expendable, even with Keenan Allen still unsigned, even though the team has said they want to bring him back. When Daniel Popper of The Athletic recently analyzed the current team depth chart, he wrote that he believes the team should build its passing offense around Ladd McConkey and mentioned 2025 second-round pick Tre' Harris as a player "in line for a bigger role" if Allen is not on the roster. This offense can afford to lose Johnston, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba's recent market-resetting extension should give the Chargers clarity about whether they are going to commit to Johnston beyond the $18 million fifth-year option decision the team has to make a week after the draft on May 1. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN included Johnston in a list of receivers that have "come up in his talks" as "potentially available" along with the oft-discussed Eagle AJ Brown (Baltimore's Rashod Bateman and Green Bay's Dontayvion Wicks were the others) earlier this month, so Rhim isn't bringing this possibility up out of left field.

He can't catch and his routes are bad. I don't see that improving if it hasn't meaningfully improved in 3 years in the league.

Okay. What’s your rationale on Hunter not cracking the ST’s lineup?
