Agree. AFC please. Titans, Browns, Chiefs, please step up.I hear ya - Titans works for me. I want all of our divisional opponents to blow it - but Love going to the Commodes would scare me more than the Cardinals.

I keep saying this, but the problem with Tate is that he's not your typical high pick wideout. Usually those guys check all the boxes, from being the number one in college to logging in that big freak range for their workout. The problem with this wideout group is that dude isn't in it. I don't have a problem with them moving up a little for him, however he's not good enough to draw that next year top pick so it would have to be a small jump up.I agree with that, but those who argue about going all in this year, why wouldn't you mortgage some of the 27' draft to maximize the 26' season, which could be Stafford's last? Again, I wouldn't either, but some say its all in this year so don't waste a pick on Simpson or even another developmental QB in the top 100. With that logic then move up for a Tate or Styles, 27' picks be dammed.
Theineman would play deep middle. Day one. He's got shit we haven't seen at safety in a long damn time. Meaning the ability to range sideline to sideline with ball awareness and anticipation.I like Thieneman a good amount, but where would he play? Would that really improve our team much?
McShay also suggests we might be a team that has Simpson as the #1 QB in the draft.
Why do you even care? Especially at this point in time. You are whining about some hypothetical. We all have opinions and guys we like. Let the process play out.Anything is possible, just wondering that if the Rams do take Simpson somewhere in the 1st if the "Simpson 4th and 6th Rounders" on here are gonna call McVay out on it.
I disagree. We need a solid WR2B. IF Puka or WHEN DAdams goes down the Rams struggle on offense. I saw it live vs the Ravens. As soon as Puka went out, the Rams offense slowed to a crawl. The Rams won because their defense shut down a Ravens 3rd string QB/run first game plan.We have no obvious needs. We have spots where it would be nice to add a player though. Add to that we don't do top 30 visits generally the 13th pick imo could be anything.
Man, they have a lot invested already at RB;Yeah. I believe they’ll take him, if they don’t get a deal to trade out. Local fans and media are carrying some trauma from taking LB’s and hybrid freak types that busted under Keim’s watch.
Zaven Collins, Isaiah Simmons.
I actually agree, in no way am I trading up for Tate. He isn't close to as good of a prospect as Tet was.I keep saying this, but the problem with Tate is that he's not your typical high pick wideout. Usually those guys check all the boxes, from being the number one in college to logging in that big freak range for their workout. The problem with this wideout group is that dude isn't in it. Styles meanwhile... I think checks all the boxes at the mike role. He fills hard vs the run, he can stack and shed, he's durable, he's a top athlete for the position, and he has anticipation to ensure his speed isn't wasted. Good drops on pass downs. Straight up four down backer who will anchor a defense for years at a high level. So that's why I think he's the dude for us in this draft up top. Because so many of those big safety conversion projects are typically chase or 4-3 WILL types at best. Styles is the one who converted and thrived in the role. He's gonna be a stud in the NFL. I think he's an extremely safe pick and a need.
But if we move up for him and suffer major injuries, watching another team sit on our pick in that QB draft is going to suck ass. I simply would not take that chance. It is tempting though, for him.
Theineman would play deep middle. Day one. He's got shit we haven't seen at safety in a long damn time. Meaning the ability to range sideline to sideline with ball awareness and anticipation.
As safeties go the box types are a dime a dozen. The deep middle studs are rare though and he might be one of them.
Everyone is all over Downs' nuts in this draft, and I think he's going to be a stud in the NFL, but I expect he's going to do a lot of box work and that is simply not as valuable as ballhawking on the back end. Can he do that? Probably. But there's a reasonable chance Theineman ends up the best safety from this class and it is a need for the Rams.
We do not have a true free ranging ballhawk on this roster. Our safeties are not bad, but we don't have that dude.
They just want AZ to grab him before they really have to.Wow, imagine that, Sean McVay and Les Snead think higher of Ty Simpson than most posters, amazing......
Exactly. Yes there are a lot of WR needy teams ahead of the Rams, but those teams are by definition needy at quite a few positions. So all of you hoping for 1 of the 3 top WRs. All is not lost.I'd be shocked if Cooper Jr went before us but certainly possible with the amount of WR needy teams picking in top 12. That said, this is also a very deep WR class which can't be said about many other positions. I'd assume, if a team loves 2 different players similarly, they may opt to go in the direction of the less deep position, assuming there will be a solid WR in 2nd or 3rd for them.
Yeah they really want to trade out. Connor is likely washed. Benson has had a lot of opportunities and hasn’t stepped up, also injuries.Man, they have a lot invested already at RB;
James Conner (4.8m) - Older and was injured last year, but a above average RB when healthy
Tyler Allgeier (4.3m) - 26, just signed to a 2 year deal, showed he is certainly an above average back
Trey Benson - drafted early in 3rd in '24, still cheap
Bam Knight - A capable 4th RB and cheap at 1.1m
I think their offensive line is ugly ugly, especially the right side. It would be the wrong move to take a back this year that high IMO.
I feel like they will. Teams are just waiting to see if its Bailey or Reese at 2, probably effects which team would want to jump up. There could also be a team that is dying to get Love and that is the spot you need to get to.Yeah they really want to trade out. Connor is likely washed. Benson has had a lot of opportunities and hasn’t stepped up, also injuries.
That leaves Allgier. Like you said, I they need OL but I’d argue best offensive player at #3 is better option than reaching for OL there.
Im very curious if they can get a deal done to trade out.
He is the BPA in this draft. So anyone from 2 on picking him is realistic.Cardinals throwing smoke about taking Love at 3 - which would actually make some sense if they are forced to pick there, I guess.
He's that special of a player that who's already on the roster doesnt really matter.Man, they have a lot invested already at RB;

Yes I think Theineman starts and plays that deep role for us. I could be wrong of course, just my projection on it because the Rams under McVay have not had a true FS type (who has those skills at a high level). Theineman's film is impressive. The dude swoops to the sideline, he's got real range and him over the top will scare the shit out of opposing QBs. I don't think any of our current safeties scare QBs in that way.As to Theineman, so we'd be benching our young up and coming safety Kinchens? While I'll agree Theineman is likely a better player, the margin is not huge. Kitchens is getting better with the more playtime he is getting. The man has 6 picks in 2 seasons and he wasn't a full time starter in 24. He also accounted for 84 tackles last year. I don't see a vast improvement with Theineman, not worth spending 13 on. This could easily be a ploy to get someone like the Vikes to trade up.
Yet no one really knows anythingWow, imagine that, Sean McVay and Les Snead think higher of Ty Simpson than most posters, amazing......
