He's gone from a potential first - or at least second-round pick - to a potential UDFA or seventh at best. That's a shit ton of money lost, especially for a QB, for things completely out of his control, that he attempted to play through.

That's why I feel bad.

Oh, I totally understand. I was trying to see the bright side from his point of view at the moment.

I suspect things will eventually work out for him if that cyst issue gets resolved.

They already took Cole Payton for their potential Hurts replacement. Not sure if they take Nussmeier, but with those fucking assholes (fuck you for Lampkin, you fucking bastards!), nothing surprises me.
No, scratch that. Youre right, forgot they took Payton.

I had to leave the Turf Show Times comment section. They are throwing temper tantrums over there over the perceived weak Rams draft.

Cheatriots took Simpson's running back with our former seventh.

I don't think it'll pan out at all, but hey, seventh round, right?

Rams might have to pay quite a bit of money to lure some good UDFAs to come.

Chances of making the team probably tougher than usual.

That is unless they play CB.

Cleveland's trying to corner the tight end market as well as us (still no Trigg). Of course, we do it better.

Who are the poster boys?

Top o my head:

London Fletcher
Alaric Jackson
Dont think Kurt Warner qualifies
Johnny Hekker and Rodney McLeod, too (albeit in the Fisher part of Snead's regime). Both of them were starters who spent a while in the league.

I think, for the purposes of THIS discussion, we should make Punters and Place Kickers ineligible. McLeod is a good one!

Hekker was an elite punter, arguably the best one of his generation, and he was an excellent fake-punt artist. I normally wouldn't include kickers or punters or long-snappers, but Hekker deserves better.

Dmarco Farr was undrafted

True that as well!

Lots of potential in UDFAs; they make up something like 30% of the league, I think?

EDIT: Twenty-five to thirty percent of each NFL roster. That's what good UDFAs can do for you.
