I will never forget draft day 2017 and how Smith was raving over the Kupp pick.
if I remember correctly he was Calling Kupp an absolute steal in 3rd rd.

That part I got but to crap on him then to praise Higgins to only have him ranked lower was confusing to me. Guess I'm repeating myself lol

Right!
I think he sees Bech as a better player but at F sometimes Y and not X & Z. It was a little strange the way he turned after praising him a bit

Steve talked a lot about type of WR and how that affects draft slot.

Looking at the Rams next year, we have Puka, Adams, and Tutu and only Puka is here long-term. What type of WR are the Rams likely to focus on?

I'm thinking a slot type to compliment Puka and Adams.

I’m thinking speed might have to be on the resume. Somebody fast like Tutu but with more size. Royal and Noel come to mind if one is there at 90.

It could be an X as that would make some sense too. The reason I feel it might be a slot type is because Adams is signed for 2 years. If he's productive next year as we expect, then he'll likely play out the contract.

Atwell, on the other hand, is just signed for this year. If he's not productive they won't want him back. If he is very productive he will be incredibly expensive next year. I doubt he comes back which means we'll need one of the slot, speedy types waiting in the wings.

Had him as his best WR.
You're right. couldn't recall the specifics of what he said. Just remember him going on and on about
Kupp. I was sitting there thinking, if anybody knows WR's it's Smith.
So when he says we stole Kupp i Believed him.
And to this day, If I hear Smith talking wr prospects. I stop and I LISTEN.
The man knows talent from his old position.
