Funny... I was in Palantier in the 20's... sold in the 40's. Bought more in the 70's...sold all at 118... bought back at 122 after it bounced back from its April lows in the 70's again... and sold again at 170 after earnings...and the thing is still going up. Crazy.

Okay...back to football.

Definitely sit on any of these new up and comer defense companies right now. The old pillars of the defense industry are being shaken very hard and it's going to continue because we are enduring major shifts in doctrine. Gotta admit I'm a little worried with Anduril that they will cash in when they go public and the leadership will change over, which would not be ideal (however I will still buy their stock woooo). But the new defense companies who are fluent in AI integration and focus on drones and unmanned aircraft are cash cows.

Yep, I often do the same. Recently though have been burned by being cautious. Sold a few pre earnings after a nice gain and the stock exploded after earnings or continues to explode after selling post earnings... like Palantir and another was ALAB. Bought at 96, sold 140 pre earnings... now in the 190's days after selling. Ugh...

Excellent... yep have those 3 as well, plus TSM...although just recently jumped big into Sofi. Another one I have for over a year is SOUN... voice AI is the future. Customer service is going by way of AI. My son works for Vanguard and indicated they have been told that's the way they are heading for their client services. So look into that one.

There's no scenario where I'd trade for any player in the NFL right now with those two #1's in 2026. No to Parsons, no to anyone else -- unless it's like, Joe Burrow.

Or it's simply the NFL removing liability if a problem arises from a players usage of it. There are side affects to using them especially over a long period of repeated use.

Plus, the jolt of fight or flight chemicals from inhaling a nasal membrane irritant can cover up initial concussion symptoms.

Agreed -- posted this before the Cowboys game. I'm hoping to see more data but for right now, I haven't seen any OC we've ever had do what he did to the Cowboys.

For example?

There's a bunch of them actually, so buying them as they hit the market is going to be the key. Anduril still hasn't hit the market though they are rumored to be doing so soon. They're a slam dunk when that happens, and their specialty is more aviation uses, with self-aware assets on a network. I suspect they'll end up winning one of the big autonomous combat fighter contracts. There will be more than one but the big ones will be for flight deck use and the air force contracts. This will basically give each pilot AI wingmen to force multiply.

There are several new companies doing ships that are autonomous. Saronic is one of the bigger competitors who might go public on the early end, especially if they win a big contract.

Way to look at it is start with the doctrinal area then see which startups are competing. So for example maritime defense is smaller and autonomous ships, some of which are designed to set up pickets to screen for drone waves. That's big dollar for who wins them. Aviation is the biggest money value probably, and there's more than Anduril challenging the old pillars (Shield for example). Also there's land based anti-drone batteries which is going to be a massive market, Epirus has been involved in that with electromagnetic systems.

Start with those areas, see which are competing, then track the defense news sites to see which are making headway with testing. Just keep in mind there's a lot of bullshit and them buying stories. Then as they go public if you like what you see buy it.

Agreed. There is no accounting for raw power, ability and desire. Not saying he's a mirror image of AD (but I'm not saying he's NOT) but how long might it take of him manhandling dudes before people have the nads to declare we are watching greatness in progress.

I love that Snead/McVay are not afraid to spot these guys that don't have all the "measurables" and basically the attitude...

Yeah if they're going to use him as a shut down corner their in for a rude awakening. Ramsey still has good football acumen, tackling skills, and decent coverage skills but he's burnt toast going one on one against someone like Evans who is arguably the best route runner in the NFL.
