I get that perspective. OTOH, let's say they've decided to move on from him for the '25 season as part of their internal strategy. Is it better to get value for him now at the trade deadline or wait until the offseason?

If someone gives you enough now, it's probably better to clear the '25 books immediately especially if you can leverage a contender wanting a final piece to put them over the top. The calculus would be different if they were 4-2 instead of 2-4.
I'm honestly ok with keeping Kupp this year as it gives Puka another year of working with a Ram great. That's one thing I think a lot of people overlook. I'd want an offer that blows the Rams away if they decide to trade Kupp this year. Unfortunately that's probably hoping too much considering Snead is our GM.

I honestly think (so - probably wrong) that Kupp will not be traded and that is because of the first part of your post. If it happens, I'm hoping for the second part. Certainly not hoping for the third part.

Our organization makes some interesting moves. Moves that pan out more than they don't.
Even though our trades seem to be to the negative side for us, not many of the players we jettisoned to the dismay of fans have gone on to have even mediocre careers - at least of late. During the McSnead years, there have been - what? - two that went on to have good seasons? And I don't really think you can point to Cooks. I loved me some Cooks as I watched him all through college at the ORIGINAL OSU. But he was considered by much of the league and even by us Rams fans to be one concussion away from retirement. It was a logical move.

I want to see Kupp make a big statement and come back strong for us. I would love to see him retire a Ram and even go on to be at least a WR consultant for us.

But now... this is the shitty side of the business that is the NFL. If we trade Kupp and possibly Staff, it will be obvious that we are going into rebuild mode. If that's the case, better early than hang on to a few players that make us moderately competitive.

I don't know what is coming down the pike. But I'm in for the ride.

At least we're not boring any more.

Robert Saleh lands new coaching gig

Robert Saleh

Robert Saleh
Former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh found himself being the first NFL coach to lose their job this season. But it turns out, it didn’t take long for other teams around the league to show interest in his expertise.

After a 2-3 start to the season, Saleh was relieved of his duties in favor of former defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who was named the interim head coach of the Jets.

It remains unclear whether Saleh will get any looks as a head coach in the near future. But he already has his next gig in the NFL lined up.

Saleh was spotted at Wednesday’s practice for the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, which raised the suspicions of many NFL reporters on whether he has officially been offered a job by the Packers and head coach Matt LaFleur.

LaFleur addressed Saleh’s appearance at practice after the practice came to an end, saying that Saleh will be helping the Packers on the offensive side of the ball as a consultant by scouting opposing defenses. LaFleur also detailed that he and Saleh interestingly were roommates when they both coached at Central Michigan early in their career.

“We’ve been close for a really long time,” said LaFleur. “We actually were roommates together at Central Michigan. We thought it was a good idea to bring him here. He’s helping us on the offensive side of the ball. I think that’s always a good deal to have that perspective. That defensive perspective on the offensive side of the ball.”

He would probably be very costly ... don't you think?
I went to the Titans Reddit page and they were saying he's not exactly worth his contact right now and needs a fresh start. So that could bring the price down

Yikes. Two NFL wide receivers shot. Hope its not serious. Glad Piersall was able to recover and even get some playing time.

After reading the article its obvious someone in Reynolds group was being targeted. Likely from a previous encounter. Reynolds should take care who he associates himself with. Unless it was mistaken identity. Which doesn't sound likely.
