If he could stay healthy they wouldn’t be trading him. I’ll double check but I think he was effective when he was able to play.
He wanted out of Detroit. I don’t know why, but if he didn’t like how much he was used, then he has to figure injuries play a factor in that. Maybe he didn’t like them drafting Williams.

Swift had:
15/144 yards versus the Eagles in week 1
14/62 yards vs the Bills
11/78 yards vs the Bears

In all other games he had single digit carries

Always injured RB on last year of his rookie contract so will probably be gone next year anyway... pass.

Swift is signed for only 2023. UFA after 2023. That makes him an easy no decision for the Rams FO. Plain & simple.

He wasn't getting a 2nd contract and raise from Detroit. Most all RB's aren't worth the second contract just keep drafting RB's and cycling them.

When healthy Swift is a NFL caliber back, though.

He’s a young 24yrs with a 4.6ypc NFL-level average… That is nothing to sneeze at. Dude is a good player. Just needs to put it together for a full season.

I would have called the Rams first too for Swift. He's right up their alley. :laugh3:
