Not surprised the media is dragging Asshole Face across the mud. He showed his true colors in the handling. Best opposite example was how McVay went about it. Not once did you see him lose his shit with Goff, but he simply moved on to a QB in Stafford that he felt for his system more. With how Asshole Face has gone about it will crater Wilson's value that much more plus Wilson has a no trade clause. No way he's helping the Broncos facilitate a trade now. That's exactly why this headline is about him being released. Asshole Face is and always will be a piece of shit. It's going to be glorious to see him get the axe plus the boot out of the NFL coaching ranks when Denver sees he's garbage.

The media is way off the mark here. This is a fucking business. Wussell is not some victim here. He is the guy with the bag of money in his hand that has not lived up to his contract.

Truth is a lot of these media types squealing about injustice have motivations driven by other than play on the field. Quit with that shit. Much as I hate Asshole Face this is a cleanup on aisle eleven and nothing he is doing here is wrong.

I heard one idiot on ESPN radio talking about how could Denver and John Elway do this when they signed him to the contract and it's true we all knew at the time it was a bad contract. But contracts have ways out for both sides usually, get over it Wilson and his camp knew the realities of the contract with what he's put on tape. This might be the only player trade that Seattle ever won.

I definitely don't have his jersey but I'm loving that the situation in Denver is showing Asshole Face for who he is. If I had a Rusell Wilson jersey, it would have been instantly converted to toilet paper hahaha

Totally disagree here. He approached this man after they beat the Chiefs to be told to restructure his contract or be benched for the rest of the year. NFLPA had to get involved. That is not normal, thats a retaliation move to do what I want you to do or I'll take your job away. Wilson didn't give that dumb ass contract to himself. The point isn't that Asshole Face is cleaning up aisle eleven, its how he's gone about it that makes the difference. He purposely blasted this dude on TV on the sidelines for all to see and then says playing Stidham is to try to spark the offense which we all know is a crock of shit. Wilson was never his QB and it's obvious Asshole Face hated his ass. Nothing wrong with that at all, but he played the whole thing out very stupidly. At this point it is what it is and its funny to watch as I personally don't care about anyone involved in this fiasco. I think it will personally lead to Asshole Face getting fired earlier because other FAs will see the shit he tried to pull and not want to deal with a coach that asks for money back after signing their agreed to contract. Gonna be nice to see Asshole Face go down in flames like he deserves.

I agree with the first half of your post. Most of the second part. The sh** is out there (IMO living here in Colorado) due to Wilson's attitude and treatment of his teammates when he first arrived in Denver. He deserves all the criticism he gets.

Payton is a turd and always will be. If he knew about the hatred he has on this board I'd bet a 100.00 he'd start a burner account to defend himself.

I don’t know the media discourse because I avoid most of the commentary.

If there actually calling Wilson a victim, that’s dumb. He’s going to get paid a shit ton of money to go away.
That’s the contract.

But…

Calling out Payton for being 100% full of shit is completely fair. Because he is.

Totally agree with El Chapo... Russ didn't write the checks, but he is cashing them. I don't know anyone that wouldn't.
Secondly, you'd never see Rams management dis a player like that. At least I hope to never see that.

Living in Russ's former backyard, I can respect the guy.

Yeah his head has been up his ass since they paid him. He wanted to bring in his own trainers but was told no and sulked about it. The guy is just going through the motions so there is no team in this league that would not sit him due to that contract vs how he has played.

Asshole Face is a prick. But his approach here is best for the organization. And I detest standing up for that asswipe but in this case the media is just trying to build false outrage for clicks.

The New York Jets are waiving running back Dalvin Cook, his representatives at the Sports & Entertainment Agency told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cook, 28, is restructuring his deal to forfeit remaining guaranteed money, a source told Schefter.

He will go through waivers and be available to be claimed by the 31 other teams. If he goes unclaimed, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Cook signed with the Jets after being released before the season by the Minnesota Vikings but has been a nonfactor for the team, rushing for just 214 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games. He also has 15 receptions for 78 yards.

_________________________________________

Hard to tell what is left in the tank - he wasn't used much this year in NY. Might not be a bad RB2 for a playoff run.

Kyrien Williams, Royce Freeman, and Dalvin Cook could be a deadly combo

If they could have picked up Cook a few weeks ago I may have liked the time to build some chemistry. Hall has been running hard for the Jet since returning from injury.

Bad move by Cook, his agent needs to help him find a better fit.

Let Dalvin COOK! We have money next year, need another RB, and could use that pick on other needs this upcoming draft.

"Do it!", says I.

He looked washed on the Jets. Breece Hall looked way way better. I'd say only maybe if for vet minimum as a backup, but I'd rather we pass.

I was watching some random fantasy football show and one of the mugs said he was hearing the Denver owner and Asshole Face hate each other, and that a firing was possible. Tried to find it but couldn't. But there's some strange shit cooking out there. AF being a surprise Black Monday firing would be enjoyable. :laugh3:
