The Rams lost five qualifying players in 2021 free agency & signed none, so we would be in line for five picks. However, teams are awarded a maximum of four compensatory picks per year, so we receive picks for Johnson, Ebukam, Everett & Hill. But the rule for third-round compensatory picks for minority head-coaching or general manager hiring is independent of standard comp pick rules. Thus we will receive the maximum picks (four) plus an additional special compensatory pick (Brad Holmes hired as Lions GM) for a grand total of FIVE!

Going to be a busy 3rd day draft on Saturday late afternoon.
The draft will be hot & heavy for us & the NFL channel talking heads will still be gabbing about the Brady & the Bucs & how its an easy road to the SB for team Brady leading the parade will be Willie McGinest after they kick Rogers out of the playoffs.

I'd really like to find a way to move up in the 3'rd round. Could we maybe offer Rapp, our 3'rd & a 6'th for Detroit's pick #66, ... and expect a successful outcome ? Holmes must have been in on the Rapp 2019 draft pick.

Taylor Rapp is an extra that might be utilized as trade bait to a team that does not flip & switches up its starting safeties. Rapp is a standard NFL strong safety type & does not fit sufficiently in this Ram secondary as a starter.
DC Morris found out that safety Nick Scott can play both deep & upfront in the safety posts. Jordan Fuller is big & tall leaning to be more of a strong safety type too, plus he played much better in 2020 when he played up front much more. Terrell Burgess is more versatile being a better blend of what DC Morris seems to lean too but for some reason, he does not prefer to use Burgess.
DC Morris also has two other Strong Safeties signed in Antoine Brooks Jr.& Jake Gervase. So the SS cadre room is overloaded.
Can both WR TuTu Atwell & Taylor Rapp be elements of assets involved in your prospective trade proposal with Detroit in order to move up?
