Glad to see Reeder is not being tendered. I don't hate Reeder nearly as much as others. He has some good traits to him. He's not a complete incompetent as some suggest. But he has some real weaknesses and limitations, as well, that many teams were able to key on and exploit with regularity.

I don't mind keeping Reeder around as a depth and rotational piece. But not at the tender price.

As a starter I certainly am not a fan, but in a salary cap world, every team will have some holes. It is about identifying which positions you can accept them at, and gameplan to make them as benign as possible. We might well see him back again in a similar role..

The Rams seem to think ILB is a position where they can live with less than perfect play. I can certainly see the logic to it. But you also see, in certain matchups, it hurts more than others (49ers...).

Reeder was exploited by good coaches. Shanahan loved him

I like the move but have to agree with the opinion that his posting of himself in a bronco jersey while musing about a mile high return was a turn off. What was the point? Did it really make the rams up their offer? Id be especially pissed if I was a broncos fan and he signs with the rams after posting his desire to return to denver and saying he wouldn't tease the fan base like that.

They're making room for their shitty 2nd year ILB they drafted. :laugh4:

Eh...I wouldn't call Zaven Collins shitty...yet. Cardinals had to make room for him and Isaiah Simmons to start; they're far too good to sit.

His pff certainly is a lot higher than I thought it was, given how he looked on the field when I saw him in their games. Didn't stand out at all.

Seems odd to pick him when they had good LBers and other needs. He apparently was t good enough to unseat who they had.

Sometimes BPA isn’t always the best strategy maybe?
